I never heard anyone say Sins was the first. What I have heard is Sins is the first to do it WELL, which I do have to agree with.

I don't know how many of you guys here read Digg, or if this has been posted yet, but I just caught it on there and thought it was interesting.
Thank god the AI finally give up! It was getting rather annoying when I'd take their homeworld and 3 other planets and they'd still keep going.
I've been looking at the site. Can't wait for those to come out!
Wait... It's selling more than the Orange Box and its only been out two weeks? Damn, nice job!
Guys, I ordered mine online too, but I think the point of the contest is to show the product at a retail chain.. because it's a pain for good indy companies to get into brick and mortar stores. That's why I went down to Fry's to take the pic, despite having bought it online.
My lack of car and living nowhere near a store kind of defeats this option. Also, you guys should sell the shirts too! I'd definitely buy one if I didn't win one.
Wow, imagine that: a game with great gameplay outsells games with great graphics and sky-high hardware requirements. I only wish more software developers realized that... Thanks Stardock! SINS is the first PC game I've bought in over a year, one that's actually worth the money.
Ditto to that! Stardock rocks.
Does it support XP 64 bit?
I bought that online at Barns & Noble by the way, since I had a gift card. Sorry Stardock, I still love you guys! :)
Ok, well, since I bought it online I went ahead and took a picture in my dorm next to my PC. I also made a photoshopped version but I don't know if photo modifications are allowed so I posted my original also. And the original:
So I bought my copy online. Is there anyway I can buy one of these shirts or can I enter the contest with a photo next to my PC? :)
All I can think of is a better AI diplomacy, AI replacing dropped players (You mentioned that already, just stating), and some balance fixes.
Stealthy, owning lots of planets, and making pirates piss scared of them.
Yeah, the game runs at the speed of the slowest PC supposedly, so thats probably where the LAG came from. I've been to two big LANs since its release but I haven't met anyone else who actually owned the game. Just a tom of people walking by my PC and asking if that game I was playing was Sins :)
Thats a problem with NVidia graphics, not the game itself unfortunately.
Doesn't do this on any other game though. And I've tried most of the tweaking options on nTune and still can't get it to go away. I just play without AA for now and it looks fine enough.
Eh, just play online. Humans are far more interesting to argue with than AI giving you impossible missions. :)
I have discovered two graphical bugs thus far. First, when I turn on anti-aliasing, any level of it, any object that gets anti-aliased gets a bunch of white pixels around it instead of smoothing out like it should. Also, when I view an infocard for something with a shortcut hotkey, next to the hotkey flickers a random bunch of garbled text and numbers. Oh, and is there any way to disable vsync? As far as Diplomacy goes with AI, I think its far too aggressive. I'll get totally impossible
Yet another reason I love Stardock so much.
I'd like to have the ability to give THEM missions personally.
I ordered off Barnes & Noble.com (which owns GameStop in case you didn't know) And mine shipped on launch day and got here two days later.
