I know about those processes. I just got rather worried initially when I started the game the first time and saw that it was running 'Firewall Install'. Something like 'Firewallexception.exe' would be better in my eyes, since firewallinstall implies that it is installing a firewall. Its of no worry to me now, as I know that the .exe is and what its actually doing. However, I did worry the first time when I saw it running, having no idea what on earth it
I would give my input IF I COULD GET IN THE GAME
This post has really advanced the thread, please contribute more often :) I'm loving the Loyalist Shipboard Labs, freeing up a load of slots on my planets, though I do play a fairly capital heavy game. Not so keen on the Rebels though, some great teamwork abilities, though I don't play too many games ti consider them
\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Dev.exe The part before there depends on where exactly you installed Steam.
I just updated the beta, and noticed when I ran it that it, it ran 'firewallinstall.exe' as part of the setup. Now, I know that Stardock are a very reputable company so its not something I should really be worried about. However, I am extremely curious about this file, and why it is force ran on the first launch. Running it manually from the command line, it appears to simply be a program which automatically adds itself to the exception list of whatever firewall
Just to confirm, which email should we be sending it to? You've written but the link is a mailto: Thanks :)
At a minimum it will be available via Stardock Central.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Stardock Central what used to be around before Impulse was released? Are you bringing it back, or is this referring to something else now?
Just updated to 1.01 with diplomacy, and I've hit a weird bug. I can use the up and left cursor keys to scroll the map. but the right/down arrows seem to be tempromental. My home planet is in the bottom right corner of a huge (multi) galaxy, and I don't seem to be able to properly scroll right near my planets but I can mousewheel zoom around, as well as pan as normal. The only reason I can think for this happening is because the game thinks the edge of the map is in a different place,
Aah, fair enough. Thanks for that, must have missed it!
The final micro-expansion to the award-winning real-time strategy game! Weren't there supposed to be three micro-expansions?
This annoyed me a little, since I saw the update on impulse, came to the forums to see the proper changelog, saw the new Beta 3 thread at the top, recently made so I assumed that was what the patch was. Top of that post 'completely uninstall Sins then start again'. Spent the last couple of hours redownloading it, only to find that its still 2.5 [e digicons]
When I try to play the latest Entrenchment beta, after a while of playing (30-60 mins at a guess), I get a C++ Runtime error, which quits the game. This has happened both times I've tried to play it. I'm tried downloading the latest runtime from microsoft ( This one ), but was told I had the latest version already. I'm running Vista 64 if that helps. &nb
where are current change logs. i just got beta 1.1 and it would help alot to evaluate the beta if we knew the current state of changes.
This would be nice. Just patched it to 0.91.002 and it would be nice to see what the changes were so we can test them, see if they are working properly or if you broke something else. Thanks!
