1) A national debt is not necessarily a bad thing. Actually, every country on Earth is in debt in some way or another. From a purely economic standpoint, a national debt has no effect on the market. 2) The current US debt is only about 33% of GDP. Many, many, many European (Italy, for example), Asian, and African countries have national debts several times their GDP. 3) The US national debt is mainly debt from the government to its citizenry. Only a small fraction of that debt is

Give some planets minable moons instead of asteroids! (Maybe some infrastructure on them as well)
I got mine on Friday evening. :)
Personally, I'd like to see the option for a randomly generated large/huge map with no pirates. You added this option for small and medium maps in v1.02, but what about if you want to play a game with multiple systems without dealing with pirates!?
Speakers (SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC) Digital Output Device (SPDIF) (SigmaTel High Definition Audio) I'll try looking for a different set of audio drivers. In the meantime, think running the game in XP Compatibility Mode might help?
1) Tried it. No dice. 2) Everything's closed that I can see. 3) Dell Latitude D820 (Laptop) Vista Ultimate 32-Bit (DX10) 2.16 Ghz (2 CPUS), ~2.2 Ghz 2046 MB RAM NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M (GeForce 7400 Chipset)
This was actually a problem in the beta for me as well, and I mentioned it on one occassion, but never really got a response. I figured it was just an issue with the Beta, but now that I am getting the same audio interference on the final version I thought I'd bring it to light once more. During the course of the game I experience crackling/popping sounds as the music and the other audio effects occur. It's quite annoying, as it's incessant, and the zoom level affects the amount of in
Fully installed but have to go to class. Damn!
Completely downloaded and going through the multiple extraction sequences.
I'm getting 2,000 kb/s on a crappy College internet connection shared between 4 dorms. Those really are some fast servers you got there.
Thanks for the clarification! Looking forward to it.
One quick thing I just noticed. I clicked the "My Account" button and went over to Registration and found "Sins of a Solar Empire (DVD Preorder)". So I assume that I will be receiving the Collectors Edition?
A while ago I pre-ordered Sins of a Solar Empire and have been playing the beta ever since. If I remember correctly, I was charged $44.95 at the time with the understanding (if I remember correctly), that I would receive the digital download and the boxed copy of the game? I don't have the receipt here at College, so this is being drawn from my memory, so it's entirely possible I'm wrong. Now I'm seeing that a boxed copy is $5 more than the digital download. For clarification purposes: If y
Hell.. if anything I think the size of the sun needs to be increased! At the moment it's way off scale. The sun is how many times the size of the Earth? Imo the sun shouldn't be the same size as any of the planets.. that thing is massive beyond comprehension!
That's far too simple for me to comprehend Gauntlet. Thanks all!
I'm just not used to it I guess haha, it's not typically in RTS games. I'll get there haha
I hate zoom to cursor mode, it drives me insane, and the arrow keys are an annoyance because of positioning on the keyboard. I can't scroll around while selecting command groups.
Unfortunately for the moment I'm forced to play Sins in Windowed mode to avoid my video driver from crashing. I already posted about the issue and I'm glad to see that NVIDIA has been notified. However, now that I use windowed mode, I have noticed a pretty annoying issue regarding scrolling. Usually, you can scroll around the map by just moving your cursor to the edge of the screen and the camera will move in that direction, but at the
That's quite unfortunate to hear :-/ But at least we have our mods and maybe subsequent patches/expansions!
This has been a problem for several betas, and I seem to remember some other people running into the same issue, so I don't know what's going on. However, it seems that just as a battle begins (not all battles, it occurs probably 30% of the time), the game will freeze for about 30 seconds, and then resume like normal. When this happens I tend to alt-tab the game to see if there's something going on which would cause the game to lock-up, but when I minimize I get an error from my task
Glad you guys like it, I hope the devs are watching
I was just thinking.. how many planets do you know of that have asteroids around them (sans Saturn)... so why not consolidate some of the resource asteroids around planets into a singular moon. Of course some planets could have asteroids as is the case now, but wouldn't it be more realistic and a lot more interesting if some planets had moons instead of just boring asteroids? Possibly the resource balanace could be the same, but the mines would be constructed on different areas of the moon. S
I know it's been tradition to have the bigger and more powerful ships move more slowly than the rest of their counterparts... but is that realistic? Theoretically, shouldn't they move the same speed, considering in space things are weightless anyway? However, I'm not a phsyics major, so maybe I'm missing some fundamental concept here.
