Notice how they never tell us it will be next September. Why not next year's septembers?

Beta 1 = best beta so far (it's alot better than beta 0) Beta 3 = probably second best, due to multiplayer Beta 4 = Might tie with 3rd, depending on what it brings Beta 2 = the lowest one, I never played the first beta but I think this just added some new features, improved textures, improved ai, ect, which the other versions *should* have.
Keep in mind online play will be great; you'll have people that actually attack you and your planets, use smart combinations. The game is slow enough that new players can help out more experience players greatly, while fast enough that you can get a major advantage early in game. As for fortifying your planets: Don't fortify all of your planets, instead look around your home planet and look for planets where alot of connections go to it (Pretty much look for choke
I deleted the newsleter, but I remember something similier to what he said. The weapon can only strike within 2 phase-lines of the structure, and the effects take awhile to take effect, but it's legit.
Search the forums alittle bit. The devolopers originally had the solar system 3d, but it became too confusing.
Having your ships suicide should have a negative effect, such as your population on planets goes down, or planets are more likely to revolt against you.
err... I don't get it =/
Probably the full version. Awesome looking planets though, I can't wait to see what other effects you have planned.
I third that.
That looked pretty good. Though those bullets came together so fast and so many that it made it look like some sort of laser. If you could decrease the accuracy of those guns, it would look even better.
bigger planet size = normally more gravity, unless it's made out of marshmallows. Personnely, I would be happy to have different sized planets. Right now all they seem to be is a change of skin.
*huggles everyone*
If you want a really good horror game; penumbra-overture.com Try their demo and tech demo, they're pretty good.
Thanks ironclad
It takes alot of animation to make 1 ship being built, let alone over 30 ships. It would just be too much work on their part.
Since this is about the ai, here are some little annoyances I've had with them. -Their messages come in the same times. Whoever auto-save occurs, at least 1-2 players will always want me to ally them. No where else, except right when it's saving. -Maybe have multiple messages (or more messages) for a certain order. As as 5 different messages for attacking a planet -ai tends to want you to attack/defend things, but won't give you their vision.
Kosc meant peanut butter cookies D:
Btw, for some reason I can't find the original monster. What file is it in the tech demo? I've found a corpse picture (no body though, and it doesn't fit the man from Overture) but haven't found a single body. I want to get The Roach and that monster-man from the tech demo into Overture. I need to go and pick through those folders one by one, I think dark talked about one a few months ago.
haha, this story is just one of those cheesy movie-scripts where where radiation mutates things into monsters. I'm just making it take a long time effects D:
Here's just a general outline for the story (I accidently deleted most of the notes, so I'm doing this all by head XD) -In 1960, a new radio wave was discovered. There appeared nothing special about it, so research discontinued in 1962 -In 1969, a group of scientists reviewed the original test results, and discovered that the offspring of tested animals had a higher chance for mutations than other animals. Along with that. -Testing re continued in 1969, and several months later wit
There's a problem with having anti-air in space. Isn't space the ultimate anti-air weapon? Seriously. Who would you bet money on to win in a fight? Air or space?
Thanks for the replies so far.
lol, I know. Once I figure out how to, I'm going to make a bump map so it makes the ceiling look really detailed. (bump map = a texture that makes a simple surface react with light, making it look extremely detailed because it casts shadows, difficult to explain actually) This mod is going to be kept pretty simple. I've done alittle bit of research (such as what scares people mainly, small little surveys on several forums, ect) and this is one of the last things I need to know befo
haha, I'm only 15 so I'm not going to go to an office (the only thing that could resemble an office in my town is the bank) I already know alot of things that would go into an office, but I'm obviously not getting most of them. I orignally thought about the ceiling grid, but being able to push them up might push the engine's limits. The engine uses incredibly precise physics, so even 20 of those ceiling blocks sitting on the grid would stress the engine.
