This is what I would like to know as well. I have a 1v1 scenario where the two players always start as one of two set races with a differing set starting fleet on a set planet depending on their race, however, there seems to be no way of specifying which player ends up as which side. (:(

I find the new cut down Empire tree to be much more usable than the old full tree, turning on that option was probably the first thing I did after the patch. I just use it when I'm in combat to view the status of my ships and the enemy's ships, select groups of similar ships and sometimes target enemy fighters/bombers that can be hard to click. I don't need to see my whole empire as

I've come across a new bug related to this. I was able to eliminate a player before he could get enough culture around his planets to prevent me taking them, except for his very last planet I came across. I took the planet and eliminated him from the game but his culture still remains. The game keeps constantly warning me that the planet is about to switch allegiance to the dead empire and the audio cue keeps playing saying that I just lost control of the planet but it never switches be

Sorry for the double post. If you could defeat it by using colony ships (as per the suggestion) then people will just leave colony ships around as "culture shields" instead of using culture. I agree, the values may need some tweaking. I'm not sure what you mean by this .. what I'm saying is if you destroy everything around a planet and then destroy all it's population and infrastructure

Thanks for the reply but I don't think the culture is working as intended. As it is they just have to make a broadcast centre at a planet to make it impossible to capture once it's spread it's culture a bit. I doesn't matter at all if they have built any other broadcast centres at any other nearby planets or not, the planet in question is uncapturable due to the culture it produced its self before being decimated. In the game I just played I wiped out two of the factio

Yea, I just made a new thread about that issue AI prioritising auto-cast The Kol keeps trying to use it's attack ability (railgun I think, still learning all the names) on your ships. It's trying to run away but auto-cast ability keeps over ruling the order to run. I noticed this a lot in the game I just

Hi I've only just joined the Beta so I won't make any major comments or suggestions yet until I've played a few games. Anyway I've only played two games so far, one before the patch where I was just trying things out and admiring the game and one after the patch to try and play seriously. As such I'm not sure if this was a problem before the patch or not (I didn't notice it before). The problem is; that ships with auto cast abilities will try to use these abilities

Yea I've noticed this too, it's rather annoying. What I think should happen is that all the culture around the planet belonging to that faction should get removed when the planet is neutralized, say up to about half way along all the connecting paths. Destroying the population of a planet should destroy it's culture, that's kind of common sense. Of course if they have a planet next to it that is generating culture then it should start to spread again so that eventually they'll get it ba

Sounds to me like the you may be describing the culture flipping effect, if the paths around the planet were that faction's colour then that would be the case. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=440&aid=157369 And yes I think it needs fixing as this doesn't seem to be an intended effect.
