It's good to hear this may be incorporated. I always mispell that word, and I didn't go through it and make sure everything was right... oh well

I think a good idea to incorperate into the game would to have different sized planets. The only thing affected with this change would be the size of the gravity wells, ie. smaller planets smaller wells, larger planets larger wells. Also I think that asteroids need to have a reduced gravity well to make them harder to deffend. In reality I think it would be much harder to deffend an asteroid than a planter. I don't know if the devs are open to this idea or not. Any feedback?
I would like to second the idea of inhibiting attacking fleets before they reach the planet. It would be amazing to be able to have phase inhibiters in between planets but I believe that they would have to be very expensive to prevent people for spamming them. The deffence ability of planets needs to be improved, like being able to build some sort of turret outside the gravity well.
Bigger techs that have more power is a good idea in my opinion. Any feedback on an option to increase/decrease tech speed as a game option at startup?
Yeah, it is a bold statement, I was generalizing accualy There are some that want research faster, some slower, some want to leave it how it is. It could proboly get modded in by some but I don't think it would be that hard to make an option to slow down/speed up teching (I don't have any knowledge in the scripting of a game so if I wrong it is due to ignorance).
I wish there was a dev out there that could give us some input on their ideas on the subject...
I put forth an idea in my post about researching. An option to increase/decrease to speed it takes to research techs would make everyone happy:)
I like playing huge maps, small ones don't appeal to me much:)
I second this by Ash. You saved me some time man, thanks! - Not a game component itself, but I have to mention the responsiveness and customer service I've observed over the last couple days on this forum. I've come to expect it with any project associated with Stardock, and it's greatly appreciated. FWIW, my decision to pre-order the game and try the beta was b
I agree uplift. Also this is the first game I have ever preordered! Well I would have preordered Spore but it is not out yet...
It is very rare in todays gaming industry to see a company work as hard as those at Stardock do. Sins is just one example, they want our feedback for their game to make it great and are very willing to work with us, I have never heard of a Beta nearly a year long!. They are also constantly patching their games to keep them working right. Because of your guys' commitment (and if you keep it up) I will always buy a Stardock game above any other. Thanks!
WHAT! I want a refund! You guys should be working night and day on this thing to make it awesome... Give me your adress, I will glady send you guys 5 tons of caffiene pills...
Please bear with the length of this post but my ideas are to the point and do not need much to be implemented; they are very practical. Thanks for the welcome, glad to be here! I typically play with 4 stars and about 80 planets. I am more of a single player player so my ideas are coming from that direction. Here are a few ideas on what needs improved: 1) Have a few options to slow/speed the speed of teching down. I would love to have th
The research part of the game seems very lacking to me. Everything gets done in 1-2 mins and there is little to no satisfaction in researching a new tech. Yes you can tell when you upgrade your weapons/shields, but there is nothing you really want to work for besides the capital ship factory in my opinion. I will make a GalCiv2 refference here; people who've played it can relate. In GalCiv you just couldn't wait until you got "Phasors IV", it took well balanced play to get high in
I said exactly the same thing in Gameplay Feedback Imacuttlefish, nice to know some others want more realism and entertainment in the battles!
Another thing about battle, why do ships just sit there and slug it out? If I was in a ship fighting another ship I would be moving around trying to make the other guy miss while hitting him with all I can. Im not saying there should be a chance that another ship might miss but that ships should move around while fighting, like the fighters and bombers do. It would make combat much more enjoyable cinematicaly. There does not seem to be much to watch now to make it take up my time when I can
Yeah, the first time I played the tech tree was very confusing to me also, it seemed all jumbled together and I had no idea what I needed to focus on. Now that I have played a few times I know where everything is and appreciate not having to scroll around a huge tech screen to see later research. That being said research does not seem important to the game. Yeah I can tell research makes a difference in my battles and I need it to make new buildings, but when a tech is researched in 1
I have mentioned this in the gameplay feedback but I think it deserves it's own post. It seems that the main thing anyone needs to do to win any game at any difficulty level at this point in time is to create a ton of frigates and constantly attack the other players. Eventually add in a capital ship and a few siege frigates and boom! the galaxy is all yours. There need to be better deffense options, there need to be ships that can take on 3 light frigates and win without s
By the way I am also having issues with adding ships to an already created fleet. I end up just selecting all the ships I want in the fleet and recreating it. This is too much micro though...
Beta 2 is impresive! I can only imagine what it will be like after an additional 222 days of developement... I don't want you guys taking any breaks on this one, better start stocking up on those caffeine pills! Great job so far! I think that the current ballance of resources available to you is very good; there is no need to have more crystal like I have seen a few request. You need to spend your crystal wisely, balance it well between research, ships, etc. If there was as much c
Just started to test out Beta 2 and looking great so far! Don't know if anyone posted this yet but one thing I think can be made to improve would be that in the custom setup for a map to have a slider for number of planets/stars/artifacts. Having to click to get up to one hundered just takes too long. Even though this is nitpicky a slider would accomplish this better.
