The weapons actually are on turrets, this is most evident when the attacking ship is moving, and fires at ships it isn't directly pointing at. You will also notice that when a capital ship attacks a vessel, it points it's most powerful weapon at it, some of it's weapons can not hit the primary target, so will attack something else instead. This is the easiest to see with the ships that broadside their enemies (the Carrier and the two Battlecruisers) You can often see weapon fire from their ends

Use the vertical space!! And make the Gas Giants have a bigger grav well too. Obviously, they should have bigger planet sizes. I also thing the normal planets should have a bigger well then asteroids. If by using vertical space you are talking about making it in true 3d, I think that that would get really messy pretty quickly. Normal Planets do have a larger gravity well than asteroids. You can tell this when putting down a

This list is in the order that I came to appreciate them. 1. Music, when I turned it on the first time my first thought was, wow, the music is nice! 2. Graphics, then I opened up the tutorial, there was a pretty planet and I rotated around it, it had a dark side and a light side. "Hmm, I wonder if the sun is on the light side, sweet! it is." The ships look great, the missiles look fantastic, I really like the space elevators. 3. Stability and performace! This is pr

A topic I forgot about: I would like a far more complex system of world development, happiness, income, corruption, and attributing planetary structures to build from in planetary capacity, perhaps with planetary defense structures in there as well, and then have all space based installations work from their own capacity and include orbital defenses, production and economic installations. That would be nice, however I think it would be too bulky an

Thats almost as bad as the time my LRMFs fired their missiles at a phase jumping ship, and the missiles followed the ship very slowly via the phase lane.... and then the ship returned and the missiles turned around and followed the ship back! The Battleship's beam weapon will lock on and fire at the ship throughout nearly the entire journey.

(4) Ships will "remember" to use abilities if you press the "stop" button, after blindly attacking for awhile. I had thought the abilities and weapons did not interfere with each other, but the Dunov shield restore causes it to stop firing and moving in most cases. I have noticed the same thing when the Battleship Gauss Cannon fires.

While the defensive structures are fine for now, once real people get a crack at them they are not going to be up to snuff. The Gauss Cannons have a very limited range, this means that they can be avoided, or pounded to death by LRM Frigates, and Dreadnoughts, they are also defenseless against fighters. This isn't an issue yet because the computer doesn't bother doing these things, they mindlessly rush your chokepoint defenses and are blown apart. A human being won't do that. If you have managed

Your idea of making their speed 1/4 what it is now (well, you said 1/4 of a frigate speed, quadrupling the frigate speeds doesn't seem very necessary, I suppose you could make one a little fast and one a lot slower, anyways) would further impact what is already a very lengthy travel time from place to place. It would take a very very large amount of time to move even two systems over. In my experience the size and maneuverability of the capital ships already slows them down enough, as it general
