Forgive me for being stupid, but does that mean we will probably have to mod the changes ourselves? If so I'm not nthused by the idea, as everyone then has to load the same mod? Or do you mean that it should be a relatively straightforward thing to change for the game developers? Being able to put yur own badges on all your ships, as in Homeworld 2 (multiplayer) would be an excellent addition. I know thread was started some time ago, but with beta2 etc has a decision been made now? I personally think it would be a real shame if this feature was not added!
