*The combat ninja chickens look around, confused. BWAAAAAAARK!!!! They then proceed to the SPORK manufacuring system*
Arretu
ermmm multi post? thanks for explanation, I think I got it the third time round
lol TBH I just want a really, really big tractor beam ship. that will teach em to run away.
whoever fights for it...just an idea but how about said structures around un being sorta like control points, eg when someone takes over they are not destroyed, just start to work for new owners. if that isnt complicated enough have them upgradable and say 50% of upgrades destroyed on takeover. just a thought
just a point about fog of warin system... this game is set way in the future and there are massive ships, antimatter technology etc. wouldnt you think there would also be pretty advancd scanners around by then?
whaaaa...? sorry went straight past me...say again?
can we PLEASE get back on topic here....whats all this horrid movie-talk *The highly trained ninja chickens easily dodge the chicken defence mechanism and storm the control room* Muwhahahaha...ha...ha........
celeron, to rhyme with scum? only joking....
and i have proof of the above statement
*Arretus rubber chickens storm the SPORK facility.
ah lol OK thanks I better reinstall. but gotta play SINS first
no I was joking that that could be the cover story to the populace. since when do governemts tell the truth lol? you could self destruct straight away, in fact prolly better if you can no longer self destruct below 50% health as systems have been weakened by damage so it wouldnt help to self destruct anyway.
ahh you see I was being petty, wanting to zoom in onto little frozen human/alien corpses floating around in space. prolly not possible, but would be cool.
if the superweapon were mobile (so I suppose has to be in system to be used) then it would also need the ability to defend itself. sorta like the deathstar a mobile weapons platfrom thats pretty cruddy but capable of some nasty hits, until it uses its mega weapon of imminent doom (tm) if that was the setup you could end up with a situation where-youd have a superweapon on the field and shooting all over the place, so you would send the super defece ship to it and draw most of its fire
well how would they ever find out taken down by heavy enemy fire blah blah blah. maybe summin like for each ship you blow up there is a small chance that some other ships might *gasp* mutiny! would be so cool. also more immediate penalty for blowing up your lovely lvl 6 cap ship
SPORK-self propelled obese robotic killer...another evil plan foiled....
I think he is planning on setting the sporks on me. little does he know I have trained them to mental perfection and at my command they will mutate into more rubber chickens. that will sort him... this thread has gone AMAZINGLY off topic btw...
hmmm that is a point... OK maybe the defence module is not a satellite but a capital ship, this would mean that you would need say 2 or 3 to cover all of your empire in range of superweapon(s) the superweapon would still take a long time to build up once activated, allowing time for the defence ship to be manouvered (sp?) into position. the lower cost of super defence compared to superweapon would mean the defender could afford several of these ships by the time opponent could afford a
nah...no warning would be much more amusinglol
I play eve online ATM. only MMO so far where I have yet to want to hire an assassin on the devs/owners of the game. oooh and Guild Wars. Love Guild Wars
its a cool idea...but in practical terms may mean the difference between a mild setback and a crushing defeat. if a ship is losing ánd then gets a penaltyits just gonna die. a beter way might be like the Total war series if morale is crushed then the ship warps away even against orders and you lose control of the unit till it arrives at your nearest "safe" planet. also then you could have ships that can regroup which would stop ships that were running away.
tats the whole point of a superdefence- for it to be effective there must be a normal battle, its just that the stakes are so, so much higher... I suppose there would have to be a way of raising the stakes for the attacker, maybe f the attack is defended then the recoil destroys he superweapon, which would be a sizeable investment. maybe the same as 100 or 1000 capital ships (since I havendt been able to play yet cant offer a more accurate price range.)
I wouldnt be so sure about that.anyone else here play SWG? I played since the final beta and when I started it took months if not a year to become a jedi. then there was a posibility you would get perma-death on your jedi and have to start the jedi character all over again. youd still have the slot unlocked but still... the new menu-"Choose your profession-Jedi (omg pwning on legs) OR Bounty Hunter(oooh we gonna nerf you)" hm.........then theres alwys trader.....
ruin my day. I always thought they just meant like dead ships woot for peeps who are too lazy too read then.
I had it. what I really disliked ís that when I controlled a battle my ships refused to shoot, which was quite annoying...
