Agent, Honestly I haven't had a problem with the AI or players spamming Siege frigs and pounding my planets. I did play in Beta, thank you, and I like to think of myself as a experienced strategy gamer. I have a few questions for you before I try to agree with you or argue. With your strategy did you use any of the Advent's point defense guns (not just hangars?) Or was your force mainly composed of the Hangars and fighters? The reason I ask is because it has been my

I would say you have a better chance at raiding with the new Vasari ships. They even have a "raiding" cap ship. By using it's speed abilities you can outdistance the opfor and get into the heart of the empire, but still the time it takes to kill ANYTHING is crazy. Mines should have a reduction in HP, 2500? it takes 1 siege frig less time to kill a planet as it takes a Cobalt to kill a mine it seems like! (hmmm I might have to test that.) Orbital instillations should all have vastly

Thanks Vandenburg, that's exactly what I was trying to convey! still a pain in the arse problem though, having to tell the Kol to reattack your intended target over and over ever time you use the ability. I don't mind the "dead ahead" arc of firing, as it's a damn powerful shot!

Hey guys, I was just noticing a few things about the Kol. If you turn off the autocast on the Guass cannon special ability and then use it on a target your attacking, the Kol immediately re-targets another ship, even if the first one is not dead. Didn't see anyone say this before so I hope it's not been mentioned before. To recreate, for me it's pretty simple. Make a Kol Class cap ship, and use a point to get the guass gun special ability. Then move this sexy ship to the next system

The Pirates tell you who they are going to attack if you click on the notice it gives you when they depart, it will pop up on the right with Pirates are headed towards xxx territory or something like that, but you can't just hover over the news you have to click on it. Otherwise the damn scouts are a pain in the ass, but I have sorta gotten used to them a bit, though I still more often than not look to see who is coming down the pipe at my planet.

Well here is my problem, I am trying to update my Sins Beta to the new release. I initially went to the download section of stardock central and tried to download. That just seemed to loop, aka download all the way, go into verify mode and then restart downloading at 0 percent over and over. I un-installed Sins at that point on my laptop and restarted the download, that did the exact same thing, so then I uninstalled Stardock Central and reinstalled it after a reboot, same thing. I download

I am gonna have to agree with Multi here. P5yy's commentary on what to do with his allies fleets was near painful to watch. Come on man, you called your ALLY stupid(meanwhile talking to all in chat)! Other than that I just watched from the other side, good tactics, Dead asteroids were still useful on this map, especially when laden with defenses. Surprised nobody took the time to snag the Volcano planet. Voice chat like Vent or TS on this game would be pretty nice, and very uneven at times,

Dynamic drain and Dynamic bonuses sound like great idea's! Did not even think of those. Negative effects would also be great, but won't that just further drive people to make bigger fleets to protect the flagship better? Single Huge Fleets are not that spectacular in MP by the way, too many ways to slow down and counter with many smaller fleets not to mention fleet size is a pain in the arse to try to figure out and direct as it does not take the entire fleet to kill one thing.

Really they are only useful as a placeholder and a forward fighting base to keep people away from your home planets... still useful but maybe could be made into something better through a later achieved tech? maybe make the giant base mobile in the one system, like a giant fighting asteroid. Strengthen those choke points in a pinch!

Couple of idea's to streamline chat and logging into ironclad online... 1. Logging into ironclad online, any way we can get it to remember the last user-name entered? or have a save user-name and password check box? 2. Ping rates tab, can we have pings to players from some sort of multi player server console. The popups are great, but with ping-rates on screen all players could see who was lagging or not, instead of just guessing? 3. how about being able to right cli

I agree with you Ron, it can't be overpowered and all around great, as the skill finest hour is only for a level 6 ship, but maybe the antimatter idea? or just a reduced finest hour bonus or something. The thing is that right now other than extra HP the flagship is just another ship when fighting alongside the rest of your fleet unless it is a support cap. I guess it just comes down to how it gets implemented.

I think this is a great idea. Right now the flagships of empires are just by name and slight HP bonus. Flagships can't be replaced once lost, so it would not be too imbalanced. If people are really worried about the bonus being too much, it could always be a toggle ability given to all flagships that cost some anti-matter in order to use for x duration in the gravity well, much like finest hour.

I tend to go all art of War and Book of Five rings on this game. I have not played any multiplayer yet (hopefully this weekend) I tend to start with the Carrier because it's upgrades in the beginning can make it a powerful starting ally, then I like the Marza and Kol for later additions, in that order. I have one group (normally assigned to 5) that includes my entire fleet, subdivided into divisions of labor. (fleet's 1-4) If needed I can pull back my entire "imperial" Armada back to

Technically Monkey's own Space since they were the first things up there from the earth, but then that is pretty short sighted thinking that there are no other cultures in space already meaning they already own "space" so we lose! And by the Monkey's owning space then in the same right the Polar Bears own the North pole, along with whatever other animals are up there, but I bet they would elect the Polar Bears to be their reps. Each country claiming some piece of the pie up there should immedi

Something I really miss in a lot of games is a custom map option instead of a cookie cutter map option. Some games have custom maps in single player but then only cookie cutter maps in multi-player. As long as Sins can stay away from that the better as not everyone wants to grind on the same maps all the time. Great idea's for maps though ps5, especially desolation!

It would be great to have a chance at developing enemy tech left over from battles. Sorta like a x-com throwback, where after the first few battles the alien guns, grenades, even corpses would be available for research after being recovered. Espionage is a little skeptical, other than maybe abductions, just because learning a whole new, alien culture and fitting in while achieving a high enough place in their society to glean useful information from them is a little overreaching. While simple

The problem I found was after entering all information, credit card and all that and then it went to the "Cart" screen where it shows my one copy of this game waiting to be bought, there is a order now button in green. I press that and the screen goes to "Processing Order" then it comes up with a ASP net error in ordering, and I am not sure if it is something on my side or on theirs but chances are it's something just generally screwy as I am set as a sysadmin for this laptop at least so I can

Well that did not work either. Here is the top line of the error that I receive Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {1D3D91C9-B707-4725-8B77-046D8BED5E4B} failed due to the following error: 80070005.

Tried pre ordering but for some reason after I entered all my info I got a ASP net failure and I was unable to proceed any further. Anyone experiencing this? I am using windows XP, and firefox, maybe I should be using internet explorer? I will give that a shot and let you all know
