I jsut purchased the Ultimate Edition of GalCiv II, installed with no problems but it refuses to run :(. The launcher splash screen comes up, I click "Play the Game" and then a black square appears, nothing more. I have to force end the process :\ This is what it looks like. And here is the debug.err </

The mod looks really good and I can't wait to give it a try :) Though I do have to wonder, couldn't you at least give Harry Turtledove a mention in the story section? Some name changes aside, you've basically lifted the bulk of the World War/Colonization series before moving into new territory. :o

I noticed something, for me the resolution had no impact on whehter or not the tutorial would start. I could use default or 1480 it wouldn't work, until I reset the refresh rate back to the default 60hz (though how anyone can stand the flickering at 60hz is beyond me) Now I can use the tutorial at any resolution as long as it's at 60hz. (Persoonally i'd take the smaller view over the flicker but cest la vie) Maybe there is something too that?
