You must ask yourself, what would these AI do after they eliminated humanity, spread through the universe, consuming all, as we ourselves would have done, AI of such advanced intelligence would be human in all regard, discard the fact that they would be of metal and we of flesh, and while AIs with human intelligence is possible, it would have to take a extremely advanced civilization to construct something like that, and hopefully by then they would be wary enough of such things.
