I played the Entrenchment Beta last night for about 4 hours, and the one glitch I noticed was that the Torpedo ships act weird, when I tell them to attack a starbase, they show a green move vector and move right next to the starbase instead of a red attack vector. If left alone on jumping into orbit they move into range of a target, fire, retreat to their jump position, wait for weapon recharge and attack again. While this is a cool feature, they often don't attack the starbases first that is

I have preordered the Entrentchment Beta, is it open to the public yet? It doesn't show up in my games list even with show betas checked?
No it was a TEC on TEC battle
Beta plays great and looks great. I'm running an overclocked quad processor at 3.6ghz, 8 gigs of RAM and using two 8800gtx's in SLI, on large battles (haven't had a huge battle) yet the FPS seems to drop to something less then fluid movement like 12-15 fps, approx 5 capital ships and 20 frigates and a few fighters on screen. I have everything maxed out.
At 2560 it's just perfect, nice addition to the game screen!
I'm still hoping for today. I've been holding off starting a new game looking forward to this patch to improve the game.
I don't think the original poster was shouting, and honestly I agree with his sentiments. I too would like 1.1 now. No one is asking them to rush. We'd just like someone to give us an update on the progress. I'd take a fake promise, before the end of July just so I have something to look forward to. 1.05 is just okay. As for putting "pressure" on them, I see no sign that these guys are bowing to pressure at all.
While I've had Sins since the Beta, I've really just started getting into it hard core. I love this game! Does anyone know when 1.1 is supposed to be out? McSterls
Actually it pretty much stays maxed out on core 1 the entire time 98% usage is average from what I've seem.
I just started playing Sins a few weeks ago with Beta 3, last night I completed my first game. A Middle size universe with 4 factions and 3 stars. I made friends with Orange and killed Red and Green, figuring that it was now time to renounce my alliance with Orange and defeat them, however I was declared victor instead. I think that I should have been forced to fight Orange, it should be last man standing. Also, does anyone else notice the heavy use of processor core 1 and that core 2 i
I haven't figured out how to train the crews for the capital ships. I have lots of resources but I can't build more due to lack of crews. How do I get them to train? Thanks, Mike
Manually changing the settings works great thanks!!! Does anyone else notice a significant processor usage in the Beta?
I've seen that 2560x1600 is possible in Sins, but on my rig I don't get an option to go above 1024x768. All my other games run in the higher resolution, am I missing something - what should I do? Thanks, Mike Dual GeForce 8800 GTX SLI 30" Dell Monitor 6000+ AMD Processor Really good mouse
