I am looking forward to Sins coming out. I am one who liked MoO3 and I am looking forward to a game up-to-date without so much micromanagement. Yet I look for a good 4X space game and hope this will be the one.

What you see is what you believe. The People on the Planet/Asteroid dont see the Ships in the Orbit, but the see the Broadcast on theier TVs. Nevertheless, you have to have a fleet thee first before it can be televised. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 a

I do not know if this is in game yet but was thinking it would be very cool to have them when loyalty dropped below a certain level. It could be a percentage chance that the planet would revolt so not every one would just revolt every time it got to a certain level of lets say disloyalty. IT could be based on race relations etc. Now the fun part will be when they do revolt they are spawned with ships and control the rebelling planet/system/asteroid so as to use there goods to build more

How about increasing your loyalty by the amount/quality of ships in that area. Example: 2 Frigates would give you 3% more loyalty where as a Battleship would increase it to 15% I have not played the game so would not know if this would be unbalanced or not. It also could be the size/quality of a group/fleet of ships in the area. The more you have the higher the loyalty. Why would that increase loyalty? Because if you on a planet or mine you know that a group of navy ships are

How does Sins and MoO3 stack up? I know Sins is RT not Turn base but will it have a huge galaxy or galaxies with hundreds of planets/systems to fight over. Game play do you build ships with acquired technologies make your planets better with tech's etc. I have read about it on the home page but it is not the depth I am looking for. I would like a better description of Sins if you could. Will Sins have as much content in it as MoO3?

It really does not matter what Copy protection you use some hackers will hack it and there is no stopping them. So what is the copy protection for?

That is cool I have played Gal Civ for a long time still on my puter. I'll make it to Gal Civ 2 one of these days I bought the new Gold pack it looks so nice I don't want to open it yet. Well it’s a Christmas gift to myself so I'm waiting until then to play LOL! Guys thanks for the replies.

I don’t have a problem with Copy Protection just don’t like some versions. Like now I have Space Rangers 2, it has StarForce I have to sit and wait 4 min for the CD check then I have to install the key every time I want to play the game that is over board and is a pain in the butt. Therefore, this publisher is like Paradox then it has copy protection on the disc. I can live with that. I just hate being treated like a criminal when I am the one buying the game in the first place

No star ownership that is just not right to kidish IMO. Starsystem yes just not stars.

This is becoming a huge issue for me and many other gamers. That issue is copy protection is getting crazy and is hurting us the end users not the Hackers. My question is what kind of copy protection will you be using for your game? To tell you right off the top if it is StarForce, SecurRom, or like Valves I will not be buying this game. Make the Copy protection simple for the end user not a pain in the A$$. The most Resent Game I have refused to buy would be BioShock

Taking control of enemy ships is something the advent can do, IIRC capships are immune though, only frigates / cruisers are valid targets. I can't remember if there are any other "confirmed" tricks. Is there a defence aginst that?

44 Replies 68,499 Views

I read "The Advent are the descendents of humans and have psionic powers" - GameSpy.com This is correct? I also read that they use there psionic powers on ships that they are fighting. Is that correct? If so, I am kind of drawn back because of this and wonder if I will like this game because of this one feature that IMO could ruin the game for me, as I am not a Magic/Spell/Weird fan in games. Can you tell how this is going to work in game? I would rather have a real fight so-to
