to be fair, 'normal' difficulty is just to get you going and understand the game, but once you figured that out, it's not much of a challenge at all. the heart of the game is 'intelligent' i suppose, because it's an even level and full AI capability is used. i mostly play on tiny, small or medium maps, because i don't have too much time on my hands really. i turn off mega events, because even though they're called 'mega' for a reason, i find them a bit too extreme and offputting. i may

in short: are there any? given i play a medium map on 'intelligent', are there any strategies that ALWAYS result in a win. i'm only starting to touch on the possibilities of this game, it's just that i don't want to put too much effort in understanding the workings of the game, just to find out there are some balancing issues or bugs. So far, congratulations for Stardock on creating such an immersive, rewarding game. But i want a nice honest view on that from people who play it
which difficulty level are you playing?
i have tried that already, but it won't work :( thanks anyway!
the one with the animated robot saying a new technology has been researched. thank you.
deservedly so. only thing that bugs me is that performance really isn't all that better than in DA. at least not on my system.. so i'm stuck with icon view :(
is in TA much higher than in DA. wasn't it supposed to need less memory? i know it's only a beta, but still.. my laptop has an intel chipset 945 GMA, 2 GB ram and duo core processor. i know it's an integrated graphics card, but dark avatar runs significantly smoother than TA. anyway, great game! this is just a minor thing that bugs me.
hello there! first of all i must say that galactic civilisations 2 is the best game i ever played. thank you so much stardock. you brought me so many enjoyable hours. i bought the dark avatar expansion yesterday and it really adds to the whole experience, but the performance compared to galciv 2 is poor. it is still playable, but it isn't as perfectly smooth as galciv2. the weird thing is, the performance is the same, regardless of the lower performance options i chose. in other words,
