Take the package and the game and the serial number, wrap it up in some prety paper and give it to someone who you think would enjoy the game..The feeling you will get will be worth a lot more then $40 and the feeling that you will give that other person will be worth more then $40 to them..
Aww that's sweet! You're a real tribute to pink space ponies ;-)
I really hate when reviewers all band together to puff the ratings of a video game just because the developer is small.
WTS clue... You know.. it pays to actually know what kind of game you buy before you buy it. For example... Gran tourismo is generally praised as a great racing game series, but i wouldn't know, because racing games don't mean didly to me! 4X games are by definition 'slow', they are develoment games, they are NOTHING l
Nice work Uzii I got a question though... Is v1.2 of sins+ reverse compatible with V1.02 of sins? The reason i ask is because I'm adverse to updating my game to 1.03 until various mods are updated to fit the 1.03 standard, so for now i'll be sticking to 1.02 but would still love to put in your new planets and bonuses.
I believe this is The Mars Effect's fault. If you look on page five of the TME thread, there's a hotfix which you need to use that will reduce the pirate raid maximum and thus prevent crashes.
Makes sense! My first thought was conflicting changes to the pirate raids of various mods, but apparantly it's simply a problem of to many bloody pirates at once ;-)
Yes, it would be even more interesting if you could actually HAVE different planet sizes in the game. There's nothing giant about gas giants lol... Interesting idea about putting in protostars. I've been messing around with the galaxy forge in an attempt to create more realistic star systems, and more notably binary and multi-star systems. I suppose my idea's were similar to yours... although i've been focusing mainly on stars... What I lack is motivation, bec
Actually... Mars Effect + Texture Pack I + BailKnights Graphical mod + Distant Stars = Minidump :-P At least it was for me.. Crashes everytime at pirate raid. The weird thing is that it only does so at about 3h 30m into the game...
Personally i think that from a polish point of view this game is a gem. It's quite uncommon these days to find an 'off the shelf' game that doesn't crash and burn somewhere mid scenario/campaign due to some world ending error. Great to hear there might actually be a follow up on those topics, that's more than i hoped for really. Heck, if not in a patch, then perhaps it's a good idea for an expansion pack :D
THANKS! You just saved me a whole bunch of trouble renaming and converting my homeworld soundtracks to sins!! :D
I just had my first few impressions of sins, and i have to say I'm pretty excited about it... Finally a half decent 4x game that rivals homeworlds 'fun-factor' and doesn't come with HUGE turn-off's like say a turn based system that let's everyone 'wait' (forever) while the other player/AI makes a move (SEV anyone?), or just the anno 1995 (if lucky) dated gfx that make everything look like it was ported directly from an amiga console, and let's not even go into the
