sadly thats the exact version i am running with still no joy. Will try another uninstall and reinstall and see what happens :) of course after you've fixed this if you can just kick microsoft up the bum for me, so they fix the battery eating problem on my samsung, I will be very happy. That isn't your department of course, but while you are in the mood for fixing things....

I think there was a massive amount of confusion earlier in this thread...it is not the title bars that are an issue, it is the explorer background, which windowblinds makes translucent when not maximized, and makes ugly and opaque when maximized. It can also manifest as balck backgrounds, or bits being coloured in and bits not. I am having the exact same problem, and have had for sometime. Atm, resetting the opacity does not fix it either. :( sahme, as with the winfx beta, got the machine looking pretty spiffy. The downside is that navigation bar to the right still isn't transparent like with hacked mssstyles, which is what I thought the whole point was in the latest beta, and winfx means my laptop doesn;t sleep properly. this problem however is the main one...you can go

I recently had to completely reinstall vista from the ground up on my samsung r60plus laptop after installing bootscreen vista...it completely black screen of deathed me, which is yet another problem around the logon screen, much like this...on the plus side, at least you can still log in...for now. I'd suggest you get everything you want safe from a reinstall/wuipe off that laptop sharpish. Bootscreen vista was the only chaneg I made to my system too... <

I had that problemtoo, tried updating to new version, still no joy....in fact, after updating and restarting I got the newly infamous vista KSOD, and had to reinstall my system completely. The other software out there that lets me change my boot screen works just fine, so I guess I have tomix and match between stardock object desktop and other juju sadly.
