Seems like I found another one, pretty serious. The anti-matter prototype missile you get along with researching Harpoon only has 2 attack. Which makes it on par with the starter weapons. It should be the strongest weapon available to me yet. Am I missing something ?

I think I know what the problem is. You are playing a campaing right ? I tried a terran campaign and sure the projects were not there, I think it is a bug. They are there when you start a ''Normal'' game though. Also, check your population on that screenshot, 0/0. That is another game breaking bug in the campaign.

Nice post that helped me kickstart with Crusade. So far I like crusade but I was a bit taken aback by the new production system where there is no focus options. I think this might be a good design choice as it forces you to make planets more varied with a greater emphasis on tile/adjacency bonuses rather than the old system where you pretty much had super specialized planets only. The part I am having a tougher time digesting however is that you can no longer adjust the Social/

I play galciv III every now and then to check on the progress of the game. I am waiting for the game to really feel mature before I commit a lot of time to it. The game has improved significantly since lunch but imo there is still a lot of annoyances in the game, even as of Crusade. Just now I wanted to try and play a campaign but cant because of a max population bug that makes all campaigns unplayable ( Check my recent replies for reference ). At the moment my main

Sorry for late reply but I just wanted to say thanks for the help. I just tested the new 1.8 version and it seems unchanged regarding the randomness. But I don't lose hope :) I would like to play total random games with some of my friends in multiplayer. We currently playing Civ V and Age of wonder III and we set everything at random; our leaders, enemy leaders and map type. It is addictive.

I wish Stardock would give some in-game suggestions or default numbers of AIs for a given galaxy size. Something I think all other 4X games do. I am kind of at a loss when I want to try a new galaxy size. I don't like it too crowded, I dont like it too desertic either. I understand this might be a matter of taste but I think most players will most likely seek some kind of natural balance for a standard game. As in everyone has a backyard but also a neighbor. ( if that makes

For the first time with 1.4 I think I can say I am finding a satisfactory level of enjoyment. Looking forward to future updates. I never had much problem with stability, the game has always been fine for me on that level. I suppose it depends on the computer. But the game was too lacking in key elements to keep me hooked. There is still room for improvement but the game is definitely better now than it ever was.

I have nothing against crazy warmonger AI but even Montezuma in Civilization IV , the craziest of them all had more pragmatism than the average GalCiv III villain. I mean, he would play nice guy until he finally DOW on you usually meant he had 6 galleons full of musketman about 2 turns away from your capital. Now galciv III, I got DOW by the krynn as soon as I met one of their scout in early game. But they are so far away that they have not attacked me in about 200 turns.

Ok I just did something pretty bad. xD One of my planet had Military subsidies at the end of a long upgrade queue. I disabled the shipyard so it goes faster. And then I forgot about it. At the end the planet was producing military subsidies for an inactive shipyard. For a unknown number of turns all the production of this planet went down the chocolate turbine. Thjat is right, 100% wasted production. I will never leave military subsidies at the end of a queue ever
