Yea I think its a slight problem with the game not replicating the strings once it is copied on to another computer or installed from a backup disc of sorts I had the same issue on my spare pc. Glad I could help ^^
Could it be this the reason why i installed the game (SINS Trinity) from Impulse on a portable drive (My Passport) but when i play it (on another pc) the version of the game is not the latest one? The ga
The AI researched in diplomacy more than you. Actually i think that turning it off will cripple the AI: when it sees that can't win by military force, it will research alternate ways.
Yes.
Impulse Anywhere allows people who have a legal copy of the game allows them to get setup properly. This has been the standard for this game for a while now.
I have Impulse and registered my game (Trinity). How exactly do i download the patch (not the full game)? Thanks, Gerry
I just bought the boxed version of Trinity. I registered it on Impulse and seeing that there is a new version, downloaded the game on a portable hard disk. But the version of it is still 1.0. The strange thing is that according to Impulse, i have the latest version (1.011). Whay? And h ow do i update the game? Thanks, Gerry
Impulse hasn't been working very well for me. It won't let me update some games that Stardock Central will.
Same problem here.
You'd simply right click on the game in Impulse, and choose download archive. It will then just get the package and save it to disk without installing it; you can then copy said package to your home machine by whatever means, and restore it with Impulse there.
Do i need Impulse on my home computer too, right? Thanks, Gerry
Have you researched the tech to build a nova cannon?
And after he realized that, he desappeared.
Thank you. Has the 'pirates are dead but they still have a base' bug been fixed too? (see my 18th april post) Thanks, gerry
I do not think that is really fair.Cheers MarkL
It is fair pretty much as his definition of the game as 'piece of garbage'. Not to mention the fact that he said anything about his system specs.
Fix your system. The game is great: hours and hours of gaming here, 0 crashes.
It isn't. TA requires both DL and DA, and it's only available direct at present (we don't currently have any plans to take it to retail). So as Peace Phoenix says, if you have nothing at all and want to get up to the very latest, the ultimate bundle is the cheapest way.
I have GalCiv2 retail (Europe version). Can i buy the expansions (DA ans TA) download only via SDC? I have a SD account. Thanks.
IDid you start with pirates set to inactive? If you start with them active, and they have more than one base, they should not show as defeated (broken glass) until all bases are destroyed. If you start with them inactive, they show as defeated and don't raid, but they do still have bases. Their bases are part of the map itself, and can't be added/taken out by toggling their active/inactive status.
Active. That's why i think it is a bug. I got the 'broken glass screen' but i
Hope this cleared the mess.
No :) If the screen says that the pirates are dead, why there is another pirate base on the map?
How do I set the difficulty level for Sins? All I see are options for low-normal-high resources/structures and slow-normal-fast play speed. I haven't installed the 1.04 update yet as I am not sure I want all the changes in it. Plus I want to review my last couple of games.
You should read the manual.
...(says the pirate panel) but the AI still gives money to them. I checked the system and actually found a pirate base still alive. Is this a bug or i'm missing something here? Thanks, Gerry
Did you win?
I have found the allied AI quite competent. During the very first games i played, they have actually saved my ass a couple of times. They also respond to the help requests if they are able to do it.
So, I always try to stay ahead of the game with the pirate raids... I keep the coffers stocked. However, seemingly everytime as the clock ticks to zero, I get a notification that I've been outbid. I quickly add more cash to take the lead, but as the clock is at zero, the pirates come for me...So next turn I have the lead in bidding to start with as my money carries over since i lost the bidding... but i add more to be sure... but still as the clock ticks to zero, I ma again suddenly
No need to be rude Gerry. Actually, page 22 in the manual doesn't mention missions at all, but calls them "Ally Requests".Page 31 discusses "Missions", which is what the poster originally asked: "You should be able to decline the mission and offer the other players missioins."So would I be correct in saying that you can make Ally Requests, but not request the players to perform missions (and I mean missions as described on page 31 of the manual)?
No rudeness here, only a
No. You should RTFP. He asked about 'missions'. You can request missions.
