Essentially, yes, thats what you have to do if you want Beta access for the next 6 days. Note that it also HAS to be from totalgaming.net to get the Beta. If you're not so hot under the collar, just preorder DL+Retail from the links above under "Store" and you'll get nice shiny Collectors Edition goodies mailed to you with your DVD, but won't get to Download and play until Feb. 4th

I wonder why they blurred out the rest of the text in the Impulse screenie... on a related note: Fantasy based 4X!!!!! With PINK PONIES! :CONGRAT:
Depends on the given map structure, as defined in the galaxy file. See the Systems of War map for reference.
*grins wildly while sharpening pitchforks* Yeah... I love mobs too. *checks the pitch on all my torches*
Raze Planet FTW!
OK... so... only $10 to play ;) J/K, Blair. put the ban stick away :p Me loves to Sin online fer free!
I think, personally, that l-click buys and r-click sells on the resource amount display is a viable solution, just because really, I don't find my self clicking in that general area very often, and it takes NO resource space. I don't really care for the hotkeys for it too much, Sins' pacing is usually placid enough to not really need em. For those really worried about selling their empire in a single click, maybe an interface option could be included to disable the buttons.
Want more moons, Kosc? *drops pants and moons Kosc*
Once the Drop has occurred, and an AI takes over, the player cannot resume later. However, the game autosaves frequently (configurable, I believe), and you CAN reload the most recent save and resume from there with all the players intact.
Best way to see where your AI buddy needs help is to look at the empire tree, where both his and an enemy pips are... Course, with the beta4 AI its usually just a scout he's complaining about.
And if you don't own portal, then get it, beat it, then play this map. :P
bump!
Oh, come on! Why just bump a topic like this when you can justify making it a sticky by just adding a few more videos? *hope, hope, hope*
I dunno if IBM would even dare to set foot back into the PC market... they lost tons of $ back in the 80's for trying to control the whole market, while Microsoft and Intel were more interested in a collaborative effort. Plus, IBMs corporate structure wasn't nimble enough to adjust to an ever-changing business. To say the least, I would be very surprised to see them jump back in.
Lost_WLd, Its not that I don't respect AMD, I personally use AMD myself, but their CPUs do tend to run a little warm, and can cause strange effects sometimes. I've also seen some ocmpatability issues with Radeon cards and especially their catalyst driver systems. I've got mine tweaked and configured just right, and am very happy with it, in spite of being a bit dated. But, since the discussion at hand was obviously with a hardware n00b, I felt it better to steer him away from
*Slaps Astax for mentioning WoW* I just got out of rehab for World of Warcrack! Don't say such things! FREE to play, no Windows Live subscription, no dedicated servers, none of any of that. The creator of the game will "host" the game on his own PC, making it all very peer-to-peer and very, VERY, free.
Yeah, even on my FPS of choice the really troublesome greifers are rare, and usually get slapped with a perma-ban the servers I play pretty quickly anyways. The easy to use mute features make it pretty nice, too. Long live PC Gaming! p.s. 1st on a new page, hehehe
Ordering via TGN Tokens WILL allow you to DL and play the beta for the next 9 days. As far as the GalCiv2 bundle, you'll need an answer from one of the Stardock-ians to be sure, but I would imagine if its not in the online catalog its probably not available through TGN. They've said before that TGN is just for download only versions, so Collectors Editions and such generally don't make it there.
Those are the Sova's missile platforms. :d
Yeah, so your whole system is really due for an update. Not sure where you are, but look around for a Dual Core processor at around 3Ghz and an 8000 series Nvidia GPU. In the US it should cost around 800-1000 for a full system with those kind of specs. Its also a decent rig that *should* be viable for 2-3 years. Don't buy into the $3000 rigs they want to sell you unless you really have the money to burn (glares at 1Spartan). You get very little increase in actual performance for exp
I clearly interpreted it as a statement of the Advent's philosophy. Anyways, on the pic of an Advent tech tree you can clearly see the logistics tab. It must work the same as for the other races. Anything else would just be incredibly difficult to balance.
Well, if you have a PCI Express slot for a graphics card in your current machine, you should be able to pick up a decent vid card for $100-200. What kind of Processor do you have, motherboard? Is it Desktop or Laptop?
ROFLMAO! Seriously: "I haven't read your book... but it completely SUCKS!" Adam is just plain awesome sauce.
I was thinking of just a show of community interest in the title, something to gently nudge the negotiations in a positive direction. (i.e. no spamming polls this time)
AHHH! The second most reported bug EVER! Good to hear people are still biting their nails on this one. :NOTSURE:
Maybe a little hint from Yarlen on an appropriate company to e-mail and tell that ze Germans do want to play sins would expedite the process somewhat.
