You might also consider uninstalling Sins and reinstalling 1.12 fresh from Impulse. Additionally, ensure you have show prerelease versions unchecked -click the blue orb in the upper left corner to get there.
No; they're Impulse-only.
your avatar is not 100x100, its 44x52, which means about half the size you could have it.
Just to nitpick, 44x52 is actually a lot closer to a quarter of the size of 100x100 than half. ;) (22.88% for those who really want to be pedantic.) I assume you meant half in each dimension. :)
brilliant, yet dumb. ppl can only take your word on that you have an avatar. if there were some other way of ver
If the starbase hangar upgrades don't get more squadrons, they'll never be worth choosing.
The player who originally harvested the resources already paid his fleet upkeep for them.
Which could be 0%, if you never researched the next level of fleet upkeep, and are just feeding resources to your teammates.
Being someone who plays vasari and having fleets wiped out by same sized and even smaller advent fleets really ticks me off.
Use ships with phase missiles and research the tech that lets them penetrate shields/mitigation. Assailants are your friends-but so are capitals. It sounds like you've actually gotten the fleet composition done decently well-you just need to research the phase missile line.
i had 3 military labs and 7 planets
</p
The Advent hangers have an upgrade to let them give Shields (and thus Shield Mitigation) to any other buildings near them, including the other defenses. I'd say they are pretty useful.
Considering that mitigation is the primary reason this is useful, it's not necessarily a good idea to build more than one, though. There's also the issue of the additional shields not stacking (1 hangar defense = +750 shields, but 5 hangar defens
It's the same image , but it's not the same avatar . He has a lack of an avatar, while I have an avatar that is a lack of an avatar! Confusing, perhaps, and semantics, maybe, but I maintain my point.
Actually I think Annatar was the first person to suggest it. Then again, he may have stolen it from someone else, as well. :P It doesn't matter what modifier you give it if the DPS is low enough, though. Just give it a DPS of 1, mount the weapon on the front, and have it auto-fire and auto-use the ability on structures.
apart from the fact that there is no logical reason as to why a weapon that can bust a big defensive installation cannot kill mere ships - as long as it hits them. but that's just trying to intepret too much sense into a game.
Ships move too fast. You're going to miss. The weapon's too big, dumb, and explodey to have navigational AI. @Annatar Then give it a 1 DPS weapon? It'll never kill any ships, but at least it'll maintain range.
I noticed this once when I loaded a savegame with a project in mid-construction, but I didn't attempt to duplicate it and got sidetracked.

The game is $9.95. Impulse/Impulse's site may be doing a local currency conversion-where do you live? If not that, check to make certain there's nothing else in your cart, and clear it anyway, and then try re-adding Entrenchment. For what it's worth, Entrenchment is still in beta, and January 1st was a placeholder date that never got replaced.
No idea if this is the issue, but you might want to check that you have AMD's dual core optimizer (found on this page) installed.
Absolutely not! I said "not quite". Having the default image for an avatar when no avatar is selected is one thing. Having the default image for an avatar uploaded as an avatar is another thing entirely . :)

It's the third (center) upgrade to the starbase, on the top row. Granted, I would never actually use it, but I see it and it works fine for me in testing just now.
(For those who don't get it, view the image.)
It's been said a million times: January 1st was a placeholder date . It's been recommended that they change it to a different date, or to TBA, but for some reason that hasn't been done.
I have captured planets where there will remain 5000+ enemy mines which cost me 5000 fleet supply to clean up.
Fixed. An auto-clear of enemy mines in a gravity well controlled by you would go a long way towards fixing this issue. It would also seem to nullify part of the Advent and Vasari's edge in mine spam, but as it stands , that might not be a bad thing.
The issue here seems to be that the starbase has shield mitigation while it is being constructed . (Obviously this is less of a concern if you're playing Vasari, but it still matters somewhat.) I was too tired to run the math last night, and I've lost what I was working with (cut to clipboard and forgot to paste somewhere), but I was looking at about 160 DPS to kill a starbase before/as the first upgrade completed. Call it 300 if you want t
