The AI was a placeholder and will not affect the final game in any way shape or form, the campaign will be melded with the skirmish mode, you will get nested quests, random events and so on and so forth during your skirmishes, you will, however, have the whole galaxy to play in on the larger maps so skirmish isn't really the right word. :p

Thankyou for actually listening to beta testers and not making the open beta a demo. Is PCGamer gonna review the game? Their reviews are usally very good and I have a subsciption so thats why I am wondering, also if you can get a raiting at 90 or above I garruntie you that it will boost your sails.

I agree with Annatar11 in that it would generate more cursing than anything else. I always get pissed of if a friend screws up my stratagy by taking siege frigates that i had been constructing for an [I]en masse[/I]assault on my enemies homeworld to go raid some ice planet and then when they are getting cut up by the defenses pulls the ships i had gaurding a far flung group of crystal mines, the mines are destroyed by an enemy raid, my siege frigates are dicimated, and i am set back a good bit.

if it was done by empire instead of race? Like you start as one player but you can gain AI allies and human allies. Clans would gain an advantage but if the galaxy was big enough their would be areas were one particular Clan or Empire dominated but it would be impossible to dominate the entire galaxy. Also maybe like random events? Say like the invasion of whatever attacked the Vasari that forces empires to band to gether or be destroyed?their would be AI worlds and empires that would attack eac

The fighters going thru the sun is not an actuul bug. The icon represents the fighter squadron and is at an average individual fighters position. The icon goes through teh sun because some of the fighters go to one side of the sun and some to the other.

you can play single player with the beta but the AI is a placeholder and therefore suck the campaign is supposed to be something new so who knows ............. welcome to the community
