7 months flies by! I actually stopped playing after making this post as it took me some effort to clearly and comprehensively articulate everything I could see was holding this game back from its real potential, and to have no response from devs who respond to hordes of random posts left a bad taste in my mouth. What I am curious about though is if any of these many points have been (coincidentally or otherwise) addressed since I posted this May? The only thing I could tell fr

MrBlondini, I wouldn't care, post or give any time to a game I hated! There are many solutions for the trading problem, it doesn't matter to me which, as long as it isn't tedious. zuPloed, you make a reasonable point, although there are a variety of conditions where the practical value of defence components increase. However, as the serious detail of how combat works is not automatically self-evident or even discernible to the average player, you have to consider that h
I'm just a lurker here, but do have some considered feedback to share. This will seem quite negative and critical so I have to be clear that this is not a review - it's an open feedback post intended to be constructive criticism. I have 535 hours clocked on Galactic Civ III and so I obviously really enjoy this game. The many reviews available capture The Good aspects of Crusade quite well, and my steam votes for this are all "Recommended" as if you like 4x games, there is a lot of fun to be h
Crusade is definitely improved in that even on incredible I won easy every time before, but now if I have a rough starting spot incredible is usually a serious challenge that I'm not likely to win (however if my spot is lucky it's just a good match, though little chance of losing).
I lost a fight where my relative power was listed as something like 1893475373843743 to 1
Tried this with 3 civs now and this feature is broken for me. All the portraits are appearing, and after clicking add male/female are appearing in my portraits just fine. But in game they never work, just the human faces and names come up, never mine.
Issue impacts all my civs.
Done all that. They just aren't working for me at all.
Wow, you are all right and I am way off. In my head it was always cantina music, but actively listening I can't believe how distant that is in terms of tune. My new assessment is that it sounds like a Cantina version of the bar song "Tequila". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H6amDbAwlY
Oh man, you whipper snappers. It's from Star Wars which I guess to be fair is 40 years old. The cantina. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6PDcBhODqo
As per title. I added 16 128x128 png portraits to the indicated folder, and they showed up with the rest as they should. I selected my 16 (8 male, 8 female) and added them with them all appearing now in My Portraits as they should. However in game, they do not appear - all new citizens are coming from the default humans instead. Is this a bug or am I missing something else that needs to be done? (Incidentally, the faction is Cenobites (lead by Pinhead) so I was e
The way surrender is handled is marring every single game I play. Repeated scenario - I'm playing an insane map with 20-30 aliens. I mix up the AI so I have a few Godlike, bunch of Incredible, and heaps of Genius's with several Gifted chumps. 6-10 hours in, things are getting pretty hot, often very challenging, and then some douche-bag from the other side of the map surrenders and gives me 30 colonies, and all the shipyards, 70+ ships etc. Two things at this point, 1)
"We have a fix for this, we will update the patch tomorrow with the fix. Thanks for reporting it!" Good lesson for me. I went through hell to figure out and opt in to 1.1 and then encountered this mega-frustrating bug in every single match. I figured someone else would've reported it so 1.1 full would be fine so instead of reporting, went through full uninstall and then re-downloaded the game to roll it back. Next time will report...

Thanks, but man this is brutal. OK, so I read that whole thing, entered the password, opted in, and then spent 20 minutes trying to find the workshop. Then I spent 20 minutes reading through irrelevant stuff back here in that same thread to read someone else asking where the steam workshop is, and being replied to to check the community page, that it is hidden. Great... so I go back and one by one go through 32 pages of steam workshops and still don't find it, and it seems so hidden that
Another few questions. I'm sure it has to be obvious cos it sounds like everyone in this community knows all these answers except me, but I've done a series of searches and for the life of me can't figure out where you are hiding all these mods. 1) How do I join beta to access steam workshop mods? 2) Where else are all the mods stored? Particularly looking for custom pictures and backgrounds and races. 3) How do people get their scores up on to the metavers
I would prefer if they showed it also, but is really that big a deal. I mean if your trying to optimize spending when you getting 700-1000 POINTS A TURN, isn't that taking micromanagement to the extreme? Just saying...
Wow WOPR dude! I can see why from you're perspective it is not a big deal. According to steam I have played for 54 hours, and well over 10 games in that time, and I am yet to se
Appreciated that pic by the way a0152570 (are you a computer program?) - flow charts, pics, scribbles on cave walls - all these things go a long way.
Many thanks, apparently answer was I am stupid! Mebbe the game needs to include more help for lowest common denominator, so meester Frogboy I am available for consult if you need help in dumbing this thing down. Speaking of the tard factor (I got a whole lot of these to ask, one at a time) - I was playin benevolent and saw these lovely boxes I could tick that said I got like 300 research, or 600 research! Sounds exciting right? Well up until I couldn'
Hi, can't find it in game, manuals, this forum, these databanks, anywhere!! Driving me crazy. Every-time I make a new colony there are icons in different colours with different pictures. But what exactly do they mean? What exactly is the bonus? Why are some pictures different. It's not like they are intuitive or anything... lines, slashes, I got no idea. Okay, the green one with 2 trees probably better than the green one with one tree, but surely there is a list somewhere.</
1st and only post so no need for all the fanboys to get their nickers in a knot trying to convert another blind man to their light. I just feel like I spent so long eagerly anticipating this game that I gotta make a goodbye post. I loved Stardock and Brad's vision. The concept the gamer's bill of rights was particularly great. Great enough that I felt inspired to get Impulse and spent mebbe about $1000 on games through there instead. I enjoyed GC a lot and your affiliated games l
Ah I see, so I am merely victim of coincidence - bad timing and not bad practice. Apology accepted Meester Kryo, ta. Orodum - I don't want to be a BETA tester or d/l a beta and never did. The product was sold as complete without the word BETA being anywhere in purchase process until you actually run it. I found it to be an unexpectently ugly practice given Stardock rep, but Meester Kryo has clarified it was an accident with refund available so I am happy with that response. It is the
Okay, I bought Sins online with my CC the day I saw it won Game of the Year. Must be decent + Stardock look after customers so bingo - got my xmas money. And the award (and Stardock's rep) proved well founded. Everything about it was very impressive. Long download for me but worth it and grand game. Then soon after on New Years Eve I see Entrenchment listed for sale as micro-expansion. I buy it cos my experience in this short time with Sins and Stardock combo has been great. Unfortuna
