Not into modding games, but is there a way to link out of the string file? I am just wondering about this. No way to link to other files like you can in other codes? I definitely would love to see 2.0 by the way. Love the earlier iterations of Seven Deadly Sins. Please Ironclad...Danman did you service by creating such an epic mod it got featured in a magazine! Free publicity for you, reward Danman a tincy-wincy bit, and he will reward all of us in return. Besides 5746
I seem to recall an article in a PC Gamer or the defunct GFW interviewing Gabe Newell (I believe) about the death of the GPU. Something about why have two processors when they can now be combined into one multicore processor. Why not have a multicore processor where 4 are cpu's and 2 are gpu's? One processor to rule them all.
Here is the first proof that this will take place...okay, rumored proof. But still, AMD is supposedly going to combine the CPU and GPU into one proc
Very nice list of tips.
I believe this could very well be a id-10T error. I have never seen so many ships clumped up together. Perhaps simply selecting 5 ships to attack one ship, then do the same with the rest of your fleet. Not autopilot, but the game is designed for SOME user input.
It really is a great game. Just one little update for me: Add a progress bar to the top button on planet icons. I can see that I have ships queued, but I cannot see if I am close to popping out something without clicking. It would be even better to see a progress bar in the empire tree. Then you wouldn't even need to click on the planet to see what you need to see, everything would be in the empire tree.
all i'm saying in my original post is that it shouldn't be this difficult host a damn game, that's all nothing more. One shouldn't have to go in do this and do that, make changes here and there just to host a game.
I've said it before, you cannot complain about owning a computer and not be able to operate it. Sometimes you have to tweak it to make it work (Add a new radio to your car and you may have to modify the dashboard to make it fit...same thing here). Go back to t
i mean, earthlike planets are common, but still excepitionally rare. in reality
Sorry, must have missed the announcement. Scientists have found another Earthlike planet? Last I checked they have found "Planets" But no earthlike planets. Scientists require proof for a theory to have legs. So far, no proof=no legs. Oh and as for the refineries, they are orbiting a planet. Thus the gases that are expelled appear to be blowing in the breeze, but it are actually trai
I actually agree with the original poster. I hadn't paid much attention to this until he brought it up. I knew that Sins had some files on there, but I just checked it, 1.73 gigs! I keep my C drive small but leave 5 gigs free for Photoshop's scratch disk as well as any virtual memory Vista needs. It should be more than enough for what I do. However if I've got nearly 2 gigs swallowed by saved game files, I need to do something about that. I installed the game on my E drive for a reason.
Isn't much of what comes on a graphics card there because it has to be duplicated for the gpu? Just place the gpu in the same chip as the cpu and suddenly you can remove most of the hardware on the graphics card. Look at notebooks. The graphics card is embedded into the motherboard already and it doesn't add that much more to it. Just slide the processor into the cpu processor and it probably gets easier to make. RAM is already merged together with notebooks. And system RAM is rather c

Are you running anything in the background? I ran into a problem with an HP printer monitoring program that caused minidumps...Killed it and Sins ran great.
I do not understand people who complain about having to deal with firewall or virus protection programs and conflicts with other programs. This is part of owning and operating a computer. Norton/McAfee/anything else is designed to stop unknown programs from taking over your computer. But it also needs to know which ones are the correct ones. Not every program can be listed in these virus program's definitions as "good/allowable", it is just to big a task for any company. So it falls on the user
7 deadly sins does in fact change the game dramatically. Now you will have a slew of different habitable planets. Adding the ability to essentially board and capture ships in mid-battle is also a great bonus. To spice up the normal game try adding neutral planets to your custom made maps. If you bump it up to max you'll face dozens of random planets well defended before you ever meet another player.
What dll files are you missing? The programs require .Net 2.0 to work, have you double checked that you have this up-to-date on your machine? Everything seems to run fine for me so perhaps it is simply updating .Net to get things working correctly for you. If not, list the dll's that you need maybe someone knows where you can get them.
Khardis, I haven't tried that since 1.05. It was such a pain getting even one guy happy consistently before they started ganging up on me that I just locked the teams. Perhaps I'll try a game with unlocked teams.
I wonder this myself. Already a good 12-15 squadrons of fighters or bombers cause grief in a fleet without anti-strike frigates. How many more anti-strike frigates will be needed to take these additional squads down?
One way to segue into tougher AI is to lock teams so that they cannot gang up on you. I can take on several hard AI's as long as they cannot ally together and squash me.
This brings up a good question. Older games did not have these tutorials and just thrust the player into a trial by fire game. Where has it changed that we need these tutorial campaigns? No offense to the original poster, this game does take sometime to get the hang of. It has been a while since I ran the tutorials, but here is a good starting plan: Start by building your capital ship factory. Once it is done you can build your first capital ship free of charge, so get this don
to andymerlot on where to build culture buildings... Forget the core planets, they get allegiance just by being close to your homeworld. Place culture where it will affect your opponents. Place it at choke points where there are 4 or more phase lanes leading into one planet. If you put multiple culture buildings up they will rapidly push out to those other planets. Also, if you are having a hard time busting someone's (or AI) defense, put several culture buildings up adjacent t
Isn't the first cap ship built the flagship? I think it says that under the name.
I second rekrn123. I think most of these crashes are because of issues on those people's machines. Have you turned off all non-essential programs and processes prior to running Sins? Something might be fighting Sins for resources causing the problem.
I at one time had minidumps, but I started turning things off and soon realized that my HP printer monitoring software was causing some sort of conflict. I turned it off and Sins runs like a champ again. Could this possible solution help any of you guys? Machine specs quad 6600 processor 2 gigs ram nvidia 8800 gts windows vista ultimate 32bit
I feel old to some of you who's first game was Doom or Warcraft. The first time getting the flying ship in Final Fantasy, totally awesome. Perhaps the first game I ever actuall
