Although I did install the Fences beta last night, I didn't have a lot of time to play with it. What I did notice was that I couldn't get the Fences to recolor. I could make it lighter or darker but the hue and saturation sliders didn't work for me. I will take a better look at it tonight, maybe I was missing something. ...
Try sliding Hue, Saturation and Br
one thing I've noticed as well, when fences are up, if you run the mouse over the blank places on the desktop, you get the link names showing up of the icons that are hidden there. which would suggest if you clicked on those parts of the desktop you run the risk of starting those programs the icons represent. I would think fences could some how prevent this from happening when they are running.
I'm using XP 32 SP3 and alth

The strangest thing happened to me: I updated it through Impulse to 1.09[a].011 but after noticing the absence of the progress bar I decided to remove it and reinstall the previous one (1.05a); the fact is that now none of the available versions is able to show the bar!!! X-( I was one of the lucky users that had never have any problem with Bootskin and now I can't get it like it was before the (unfortunate) update... Any ideas? Please, any help will be really

FYI, here in Brazil there's the Consumer's Law, which states that one can ask for a total refund, no questions asked, for anything sold via Internet, within a period of seven days. I find this particularly interesting...
Why not just write the changes to a reg file and merge after an update?
I guess I'm an optimist, so that I'm always thinking stardock's going to fix this annoyance right at the next version... a reg file would be the ultimate surrender signal by me (I guess...) ;p No, seriously, I can't understand why it'd be difficult giving the user a chance for changing this kind of setting if he or she feels like doing so. Just a small change but with a huge meaning for those wh

I face the same problem... It's a royal pain in the ass having to manually edit the windows registry everytime I install a new (beta or not) version of WB. Two different keys - HKLM and HKCU (not sure if these two are enough!!) - must be modified just to point to WB folder at my D: driver (not the windows one) as I don't have enough space where your installer insists that my huge skin collection should be stored; that's truly nonsense and sad...
One think i'd like to be pointed out is if all those programs will have skins stored the same way as WB6 skins in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock or if there will be a possibility to leave them elsewhere (on a second partition for example ... ) If everything will have to be on C:\ i think i will personally give up with stardock ...

Yes, it would be very nice to be able to store them on a different drive, I have gigs of stardock stuff on
