Ok, I seemed to have fixed the problem by uninstalling the demo. Sorry about that. You can now delete this thread.

Hello, I recently purchased this game and was having fun witht he demo while I waited for it to arrive. Now that it has arrived though, I have run into a serious problem. When I try to install it I get an error saying that I need to check my settings and try again. It is after I select easy install, or finish choosing the options of custom install. I really want to play this game. Please tell me what I have to do to install it. Thanks in advance.

I really hope that someone makes a BFG mod for this game. That would be epic.

I like the Marza Dreadnaught supported by the shield generating/emp/magnetic cap ship. I was playing the demo last night. My homeworld came under 3 massive pirate attacks, supported by 4 enemy assault fleets at the same time.(they attacked in waves) I had a small support fleet along side the cap ships, but they soon fell to the assault. I watched as wave after wave of enemies assaulted the Krosus(Dreadnaught) while the Paladin(support cap ship) backed up its shields and deactivated theirs. Th

There has to be a balance, but I see what you are talking about. I also don't want another same vehical with adifferent name for each expansion RTS like some of them. I like variety and specialization. Some Rock Paper Scissors stuff can be good though. I like how it was done in Homeworld. It made the quality, not the quantity, of you fleet important.

I'm still "playing" spore, if you can call it that. Mainly it consists of building stuff in creator. The game just feels empty, and the space mode is kinda a joke. Seriously, combat consists of, fly in a circle so that the enemy can't hit you, while firing missiles. They say that they are going to fix stuff, but they never do. EA doesn't care about their customers like Stardock does. I'm glad that I bought this game. It is much more epic. Thanks again to the creators and developers of this ga

I like the idea of mine layers. Those were some of my favorite ships from Homeworld. Just make a huge grid of them and let them drift. Always fun. I think that there should be some variety. It would be pretty cool.

I started grinning when you said that the enemy cap ship moved between your two cap ships. That is a horrible tactical decision. Then to expose your broadside. I wonder what that capitain was on.

It is good to see a company that actually cares about its customers. Bravo Stardock. I am really impressed right now. (I have been dealing with EAs hatred of customers(or pirates as they consider all them) with Spore, and now I have finally found the game that I have been waiting for since Homeworld 2.

I guess that the OP hasn't tried Spore yet. This company is better than EA by far. They don't instal malware, remove content from the game to put it in an expansion, or ignore you.
