Huzaa, found someone who has a copy of Homeworld 2, so now I just have to beat them up to get it...
Can someone please explain to me in small easy to understand words how this went from discussion of hardware performance to Spartan's rather...odd taste in women, or he/shes as it appears. Am I the only one here who thinks this is absolutely insane?
not to be a pain in the ass or anything, but isn't it rather hard to compare a first person shooter to...well whatever cross genre thing they have going for sins. And yes, a 8800GTX will run anything on the market on its highest settings, so no worries here. Given all the work being processed, a high level CPU and a good chunk of ram is more vital, at least in my opinion.
just...wow. I always regretted not being able to get a copy of homeworld 2 due to warlords, but looks like I won't be missing out on anything this time around! However, scale does seem to be a bit...problematic, but it shouldn't be too hard to just adjust planet and gravity well size, right?
Shall we sacrifice a Halo fan to the gaming gods in the hope that sins will succeed beyond expectations? I know where we can get them in bulk! In all seriousness, pretty good ad there, looks like the TEC is going to get blown to little tiny pieces (Hmm, 2 vs. umm...lots) and I sincerely hope that I don't have to suffer too long waiting for the shipments to get across the border and into canada, usually is about 4 days to a week after the release in the US, I can stay sane that long, rig
Ah well of course, if the poor SOB you happen to be bombing in any situation or game, you can't stop until they are incapable of so much throwing a stick at you.
Thanks for the timely replies. While this seems more or less what I expected, the different planet types and their bonuses certainly is interesting, along with the natural phenomena. Oh, is there any kind of fallout in the game? Since nukes are used to bombard a planet into submission, is there some kind of negative population growth applied to take into account the nukes?
Hmm, 20 years to release... I think that ticker is possessed by some really angry demon....
Ok, So I pre-ordered the game a few days back with my xmas money, and certainly am looking forwards to conquering the galaxy a few times over. The game looks fantastic, and my personal thanks to Ironclad and Stardock for actually making something new in a market full of stagnation! That being said, I have a few questions which I haven't seen on the forums, at least not in the last 8 or 9 pages. Firstly, to what extent can you name things? I remember reading that capital ships c
