Update: The docklet is still running stable since the BIOS update. Functionally, everything is in order. The only issue I have now is that sometimes icons will show up in the docklet that don't appear in the actual system tray. But since this issue is only cosmetic, I'll consider this issue resolved.

A note to others wanting this feature: The Windows Vista version supports a minimizing/maximizing effect pretty well. For XP systems I would recommend disabling XP's animation on windows. Turning off animation will at least keep the windows from animating to and from an off-screen source. Your windows will instead just appear and disappear. To turn off animation in XP: 1. Hold down the Windows Key on your keyboard and press the Pause/Break button. 2. Go to the

Seabass: Thanks for the reply. I ended up doing something similar with the Plus version I bought for my old computer since it requires a second dock for the system tray anyway. But it was annoying (to me) to have a separate dock for that. I like the simplicity of having everything all in one place, in plain sight, and not looking weird (yes, I'm a touch anal-retentive). Unfortunately, at least with the Plus version's system tray it didn't work anyway, and from what I've read a lot of

The system tray docklet I was using (ObjectDock Tray 2.00 by Melchior Moos) worked great under XP SP2, but my new computer has Vista 32-bit on it and the "remove hardware" icon doesn't work. Clicking on it no longer gives me any way to remove my devices (nothing happens when I left-click it), and right-clicking on it just locks up ObjectDock. I'd like to have a tray docklet that runs in the same dock as my other icons without having a separate or tabbed dock. I'm using the fre

Lantec: Video memory is 128MB dedicated. OD used to work fine without any performance problems. I didn't notice any issues until after I installed OD+. Now, even after uninstalling Plus and reinstalling the free version, the performance problem persists.

johnthecompnerd: I'm trying to figure out if there was any software I installed since then. Either way, I wouldn't be able to begin to guess how it would be affecting OD. If OD isn't running the system comes out of Standby just fine, though. When I reinstalled OD I copied my themes and settings over so I wouldn't have to set everything back up from scratch. Could the problem possibly be somewhere in those files and I've unwittingly recopied the problem back over? If I had been thin

I thought I'd go back to the regular version since the Plus version was buggy (aside from the performance issue), and the free version now elicits the same performance problem whereas before it worked fine. I'll have to try and figure out if anything else is conflicting with ObjectDock. Otherwise, I guess I'll just have to not use ObjectDock anymore. The work computer still works fine performance-wise, though (although the Plus version is buggy -- the system tray doesn't work on it).

Removing both of my docklets has no affect on the performance problem. The system is still incredibly sluggish after resuming from Standby until ObjectDock Plus is restarted. There is something else that is causing ObjectDock Plus to be sluggish on this system, but not my work system. The only main difference is that the work computer has 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB, which seems like it would help in the short run. But over a longer period, it seems the 2GB would eventually be used up by an

I'm running a digital clock docklet and a system tray docklet. But disabling them will do me no good, because without them then I might as well go back to using the taskbar. I bought the Plus version specifically to have a system tray, only to find out that you have to have it on a separate dock, which I did for a while, but then it stopped working altogether, so I removed that dock. Do note that I'm using both of these docklets on my work computer as well and I experience no performance prob

I'm experiencing serious performance issues on my notebook computer (Alienware Area 51m 766, 3Ghz, 1GB RAM, 128MB graphics, Windows XP SP2), which appears to only happen when resuming from Standby. Performance lags so much that I have to quit ObjectDock Plus and immediately my system returns to its normal, speedy performance. Then I restart ObjectDock Plus and everything works fine until I next resume from Standby. I did not experience this issue with the free version of ObjectDock.

Bichur: I sometimes use the desktop as a staging area for files that I am about to send out or that I need to review in a timely fashion. Since I don't normally keep icons on my desktop, these highly visible reminders ensure that I get done whatever it is I need to do. Hiding all icons would prohibit me from using this method. Most of my transient files are stored in a temporary directory, but since it is out of sight, it is often out of mind. :)

I have hidden the desktop Recycle Bin with Xteq because I don't like seeing it on the desktop when I already have it on the dock. The ObjectDock icon works in every way (shows full/empty status, allows me to drag files to it to delete), but when I click it it doesn't open the Recycle Bin. Is there a way I can relink this icon so left-clicking it will open the Recycle Bin? The other option I've tried to work out is just assigning a clear icon for the Recycle Bin on the desktop, but it won't

It would be nice to be able to add the "genie effect" when minimizing windows, where the minimized window's path is shown as it enters the dock. At the very least, it would be nice to make it so a minimized window doesn't show it's path to an off-screen taskbar. It's weird to minimize a window and see its path go to the bottom left when my running tasks are on the right. Same thing goes for restoring a minimized window. Thanks! Using ObjectDock Plus v.1.90 Build 535u

I find myself in need of showing and hiding the dock a lot. One (or both) of the following two solutions would be nice to have: 1) A keyboard shortcut that toggles showing and hiding the dock. 2) To be able to remove the default space between program icons and running tasks, or be able to assign a function to that space. I currently have a show/hide icon on my dock, but I changed the default image to a clear icon image. I put it next to the default (clear) spacer, but found
