Hey people, I'm new to modding (I've done a few tweak here and there, but nothing really complex), and I'd like to create a mod that use a fighter class as Missile. Basicly I'd have fighters that trigger a selft destruct ability when very close to an ennemy ship or fire a weapon with very short range and self-destruct after that. That way, the ennemy ships can 'counter-fire' the missiles before they get hit, which would basicly change the whole w

Thanks guys! I just started over with the clean mod, creating the new ship entity file, added it to the player aswell to the manifest and it worked now. Thank you for clearing it up, I must have broken something in there at one point, I just wasn't sure if I had to modify other files. Now it's clear!
