Perfect post, just what I was looking for. I need my damn tech tree :)

Vista Home Premium 32 bit, 4 gig ram, 8800GTX. No issues at all.
I hear ya, my 1st game I created 8 ships, quick, went to check out the next planet and got smacked down. It's been awhile since I played a game with a learning curve LOL!
I had the tutorial glich. I ran the 1st one on 1024x768 then I could run them all at the highest resolution.
As a brand new 4x type game player I like that it is slow so I can take it all in. Some of these newer "RTS" games like World Conflict move so fast I feel like I have to rush through each mission. As a noobie I need time to react to all the new stuff I need to learn, so far I am enjoying it.
I have only one 8800GTX, 4 gig of ram, dual core, 32 bit Vista, no lock ups what so ever. Playing at 1280x1024
Very nice....although mine are saving at 20.6kb for some reason and I can not upload them..nevermind...figured it out :CONGRAT:
I got mine at 1:03PM EST...of course I went and took a nap at 1 and missed the email until just now! It is downloading very fast!
Hmm no charge on my CC yet and I ordered it 2 weeks ago...please please charge me LOL
I am a HUGE Patriots fan, have been for ever. It was a tough loss. Brady played like crap I give the Giants credit, they pulled the upset, just like the Pats have done so many years in the past. Going 18-1 means absolutely NOTHING when you don't win the Superbowl.
Here is a copy. And like others have said, I am finding more and more reviews are adverstising $$$ based. [I]January 30, 2008 - We've already brought you numerous previews of Ironclad's upcoming real-time 4X game, Sins of a Solar Empire, but there are still a few nuggets left to reveal before the game ships. The beta 5 version we received offered numerous interface improvements and a chance to finally play as the new Advent race. We've been looking forward to this game for some time no
Al Gore runs my internet connection :CONGRAT: I should download at blazing speed! I might have to rise early that day and get a jump on downloading.
I have almost the exact same setup. Went with OCZ DDR ram, got 4 gigs on Black Friday for $160. I have the 800watt power supply Have the Gigabyte MOBO, but I had to send the 1st one back because it had a short in it, so your better off with the nVidia.
Did you guys know that the Superbowl is completely irrelevant to the majority of people? I'd rather have it on a Friday...
It really should be on a Saturday. Expected TV audience is 100million people so I would not say irrelevant. Maybe if your team is not in it there is less excitment but people watch it for th
Release can not come quick enough for me! At least the Super Bowl will keep me occupied this weekend (Patriot's fan for 40 years) I haven't played beta of this so everything is going to be new and exciting. You posters(beta players) have really done a great job working this game up! Can't wait!!! GO PATRIOTS!
http://pc.ign.com/articles/848/848439p1.html Looks like it won't be out this spring!
Not since Baldur's Gate I have purchased/pre-ordered a product without playing a demo or beta! With all the positive stuff I have read on this forum and the screenies I pulled the plugged... ...waiting with much anticipation for Feb 2nd!
That answers my question...placing order now :CONGRAT:
Thanks for the input, I guess I will have to run a lot of single player games to get the feel.(Correct me if I am wrong but I read there is no "campaign" style of single player) I am kicking myself in the ass for missing the pre-order beta start!
I am really looking forward to this game but I have yet to play it. Other than having knowledge about the game do players that have been in beta have an extreme advantage over those of us who are going to be rookies. Do players start and accumulate technology that they can use in online games that will create a disadvantage to the one who is green and just starting? Looking forward to the release!
