This game is well worth spending your money on just for the replay value. I played one large scale map 5v5 for over 20 hours before my team was able to wipe out the enemy forces and take their home system. The scale of these games is just huge, the pace is fairly fast and the combat is usually between large fleets on both sides. If you like RTS you will love this game. No single player campaign, but the selection of skirmish maps makes up for that.

I had three Novaliths going at once and realized that I had taken out one of the colonies I had just established in the enemy system. From then on I zoomed out to see if any rounds were inbound before I established a new colony and finally got to the point where I had to placed them on manual to keep from taking out my allies newly established colonies in the same system.:d

Just finished a large map scenerio 5v5 where there were only four of the original allies left at the end. All I wanted to do was break the alliance and attack the others to conquer all the systems for my own. Why would I want to waste a perfectly good fleet and production facilities now producing at top capacity? It seemed like such a waste of 15 hours of gameplay having to share the victory with others.

Is this a written or a verbal test? :)

I am having the same problems as the original poster. I seem to be doing alright and expanding out into the system and wham, I get hit by a huge fleet of enemy ships that takes out everything I have spent the last hour or more building up. It also seems that my capital ships are no match for the enemies even when I have more of them. My question is how does the AI ramp up so fast? When I check the stats they have out resourced, out produced and out researched me by almost 50%.

I would think that I would be playing this game for at least the next two months, at least on and off or until something else catches my attention, if not longer. I've only manage to put in about 3 hours of game play since I got the game and already find myself immersed in the challenge of getting my system ramped up, colonizing and trying to fend off pirate and opponent attacks. This game could cause me to lose a lot of sleep. :CONGRAT:
