I spent the first 4 hours with the game trading the 3 drivers I have around to see which was the most stable and they all suffered from alot of recoveries. Soooo, maybe it is a 7 series thing. The older driver tested by and recommended by Alienware (Ya I know)seems to be the most stable with it. But it seemed more of a CPU problem, like it couldnt handle the calculations of all the AI stuff going on. Which was weird cause it wasnt using much CPU...

Ya, I hear ya. Late for a beta 4 tech question. Still curious tho lol.

I can see my fleet and trade ships, battles and whatnot start to move and stop, move and stop in a Me vs. 2 ai battle late in the game (single star 26 planet map). Its annoying to say the least. My 2.4 ghz AMD dual core is showing only 56% to 74% max load when this is happening and my 2gigs of RAM is at 70% with vista and all its RAM draining stuff in the background running. I have a single 7950gt GPU but thats not the bottleneck here. Anybody know why this is happening? It feels like what

Ya! I watched all Multi's videos (like 3 days of them) and in the 3rd set I think he reversed the deplomacy on LordKosc I think it was, and he raised the bounty on him like 3000 credits. When I saw that I was rolling. Anyway, a good community is part of the reason I'm sold on this game. cheers guys, I cant wait to get raped by you all for about six months :NOTSURE:

this thread made me laugh a bit... u can tell u guys have been hanging out for a year on this beta! I hope these forums dont get ruined when all the 14 yr olds discover the game and flock here waving their giant epeens. (:(

I wonder what Edward R. Murrow would think about modern news. Well I guess thats the thing really, its not news its 99% opinion. It all has a Jerry Springer show feel to it too, especially O'reilly and Obermann's countdown is like a Leno spin off. I miss Walter Kronkite. sad...

I'm getting that too. I notice rotating away from any stars and placing the camera looking out into space eliminates this problem. I also notice a hell of alot of graphics driver recoveries with all the drivers ive tried but I'm sure thats been addressed for launch. My specs: Athlon 64 x2 4600+ 2.4 ghz 32 bit Vista 2 gigs ddr 800 7950 GT ForceWare version 158.24 (seems to be the most stable)

Hey I just registered after seing this thread. Ive been lurking here for about three days now and downloading multianna's game videos. Found out about sins after a search for "homeworld 3 to be developed" lol. I gotta say from what ive seen and read im totally geeking out right now and cant wait 10 days to start learning this game. I want to preorder but id like to get the beta too! From what ive read here I can still get my hands on beta 4 this close to release? So I pay 70 bucks
