I myself rarely play rtsl campaigns, but alot of people out there love them, I was suprised whent hey made the descision not to have one. I think it hurt the game. and the multiplayer routing is a problem. It wasnt an issue for me because I am rather tech-savvy, but alot of players simply are not exactly sure how to do this port forwarding stuff!

Very nice explosions. How much do they change requirements? I would assume a decrease in preformance. How much does it decrease? Interesting mods, outposts are a good idea, almost like having space stations. A titan... recreating the capital ship on another level eh?
Your probably right about 1/3 being too small.. maybe 1/2 or so... the range of a guass would require too few ships to blockade completely.
I like the cruiser idea... A blockade cruiser with the ability to deploy along the edges of a gravity well that prevents jumping within it's range. This range would be about half that of a guass cannon (maybe even a third), meaning you would need quite a bit to seal off a whole well (quite an investment), but you could block off access to your inner systems for a price. I am currently finishing up a PHP replay parsing system for AOE3 replays from which I obtained help from people who were very good with the replay files there, and I am now interested in putting together a replay parser for Sins replays. I would like to know if, first, it is possible, and second who could be able to help with this.
I started out on normal, and althought he was tough and I lost the first game while I was learning. I beat him rather easily the second time. I would rather think that easy shouldnt be a problem. Seems the difficulty settings are fine. And the pirates, although annoying and too frequent, die terribly to bombers.
I am currently working to release a multi-portal strategy fansite and am planning on opening a SoaSE portal as soon as the site is released.
