I am also having this problem, I have Vista Business and SLI'd pair of 7800 GT's. And my screen flickers when i try to zoom in and out and usually it crashes.

I'm pretty sure the game has its own game browser and it does not use Windows Live. I have used many "Games for Windows" branded games that do not support Windows Live. In fact the only one that I have is Halo 2.
