Any hope of modding so they knock each other out of the lane and have to fight for the right to pass? ... any?

That would be silly
Wellll actually it might make sense. If space is being bent going one way and then another ship comes along bending it in the other direction and the two waves meet they would partially or completly cancel each other out, causing either the wormhole to collapse or catastrophic destruction :P

I like the tech advantage rather than numbers too, its just less forces to command. another good strategy is to mass hordes of carriers and kite them around. kiting is trying to stay out of enemy range while still attacking them (with bombers) for those who dont know what "kite" means...

somone might have already said this but i didnt feel like reading the entire forum. i personally think the pirate system is kinda dumb, i LIKE it when pirates attack me, they are sooo easy to kill and it just gives me more exp for my cap ships, i usually have my capital up to lvl 4 or 5 before i even make 1st contact with the enemy, whose is lvl 1.

i usually focus on cruisers(if they have any) and then 2nd the capital ships with my main fleet, and a smaller fleet of light frigates to kill their light frigates. lots of focusd fire. and if i see that they are targeting one of my ships (especially a cap) i command it to run right through and past the enemy fleet so that they have to turn allll the way around to keep killing that one. I also like to split up my fleet into 2 and keep them in really loose formation so that it is harder for th

I have one last question, ive been looking around on the net and i see i can get either somthing thats Geforce 8800 with 256mb or Geforce 8600 with 512mb for the same price of about $130. Im thinking that the one with 512mb would be a better buy? and what would the difference be?

29 Replies 16,998 Views

I dont know much about this stuff, but how much would a video card like that affect gameplay on any game not just this one, and how much would it cost to get a decent card?

I think that the planets orbiting would just get confusing. but moons orbiting would be great.

I had an idea about this a little while ago and posted it here "https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?aid=174535#1438217" Ya know how some games have a technology victory? Like in gal civ 2 where you reserch along a certain line and then you win? or in some games you build somthing and defend it for a certain amount of time and then you win, etc... Well instead of having a tech victory where you just win, you get a mega ship like what was posted above and it completly bowls over

I just read another post and it gave me an idea. The original post is here "Canb we please have megaships?? huge vessels that would be the product of years of construct, the effort of entre civilizations, and the cusp of technology~! please, can we have them!?!?!?" Gal civ 2 has a technology victory, instead of just instantly winning, when you reach what would normally be a technology victory your civilizations gets a huge, insanly po

I have seen other posts about this but i thought i would make another one. As far as i know there are no moons currently implemented but i think that there should be some. In RL most planets with any significant gravity have moons, our solar system alone has more than 40. In Sins you should be able to colonize moons with civilian, commercial, military, research, mining etc.. imagine having a moon with a giant gauss gun or an array of sensors or something of the sort. Or s
