Yeah, noticed that too. I fiddled with the settings and made it more responsive, but its still not as fluid as what we had in GalCiv. I'm sure it will improve with future engine tweaks.

Yeah, this is the biggest bug I found so far for me. This, and the minor glitch for the sandcrawler shaman that has white text written over black text on the info card.
What's the screenshot key again?
Great news! I must have put in two and a half hours into the game last night and really enjoyed it! Great work! Can't wait to see this game get even better with time!
Played about an hour (and loving it!) and only found one glitch so far: After winning a tactical battle, my char leveled up. The only problem was that I had a devil of a time spending the point. It seems the mouse pointer still resembled the movement order pointer from the tactical battle (you know, the dotted line and the X) and it wouldn't let me spend the point as a result. After clicking on everything on the screen, it finally let me put one point in intelligence
Thanks for all the hard work and one of the most interesting launch events in internet history. [e digicons]5*[/e]

I'm scared. What if after months and months of waiting and reading every dev entry along the way...I don't like it?!? [e digicons]8O[/e] I'll be crushed! I couldn't deal with another Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising fiasco!!! [e digicons]x_x[/e] Somebody hold my hand. [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
As far as I am concerned, it gets here when it gets here (today, tomorrow, Tuesday). Stardock is doing beta testers and pre-orders a courtesy by giving us the game 48 hours early...and on a Sunday no less! I am grateful for the effort more than anything else. Regardless of when it is released...thanks, Stardock! [e digicons][/e]
IIRC, when Elemental was first being discussed, Stardock mentioned that players would be able to name everything on the strat map.
Catching up on Goblins. I started reading this superlative online comic while waiting for the release of Dragon Age. Now I guess I'll finish it while awaiting Elemental. [e digicons]:D[/e]
I hope somebody starts a regular Elemental online comic like Dungeon Crawl . [e digicons]:D[/e]
These are some good points. What's the point of having a line of succession (indicated in the game, no less) if the gameplay mechanics pay it no mind? Jeez, I really hope that children are able to replace their parents on the throne. I *sort* of understand why it would be game-over if the player's sovereign dies (i.e., the whole concept of "you" being in the game), but it doesn't make sense for the other realms to immediately collapse despite there being plentiful offspring
Personally, I really want to do a contemplative fleet battle game, where the time scale would be days. The gameplay would be tense "search and destroy" gameplay, where you're trying to pinpoint the enemy without giving away your own position.
That's exactly the type of game I would love to play. Too many space games put the combatants within point blank range at the start of the battle...where's the fun in that? I w

Weather makes every game better (Stalker is a great example of this). It goes a long way in setting the mood. I also would like to see seasonal changes on the map at some p
That's a great find! Thanks!
That was one of the best AARs yet! [e digicons]\o/[/e] I hope we can build trebuchets, too! Roland had put out the word that the Kingdom ...the Kingdom what?!? You can't leave me hanging like this! The word...is the bird?

Wow, I made the original post back in 2008 and people are still commenting! Guess I'm not the only one looking for Silent Hunter in Space (space...space...space). [e digicons]:D[/e] To borrow from Rick Santelli "Game devs, are you listening?!?" [e digicons][/e]
Seeing poor young Sandra marry that... guy... gives me an idea. Maybe your children could have a chance of running away from an arranged marriage based on their compatibility with their bride/groom and their loyalty to you. If they run away they might seek refuge in some other civilization and start working for them as a champion.
That's a good idea! If it isn't in the game, it would be cool if it could be implemented later. I
This update begs a lot of questions about children. Is the process for having children any different for a female Sovereign as opposed to a male? Is pregnancy represented at all, either for a queen or a king's wife? If a female Sovereign has a child when she's out in the wilderness somewhere, what do you have to do to get it sent somewhere safe? Or do babies not have a physical in-game representation at all until they
