My main concern is not the siege frigate spam, but how badly the game scales in medium to larger maps due to the fleet cap. And the botleneck that it produces in the "end game". But in a recent game, withc patch 1.02, my homeworld, that was fully defended with hangars and turrets, and a minor fleet with 1 kol batleship lvl 5 and one sova carrier lvl 2 and some frigates "about 12-20" and 6-10 cruiser. Maybe the addition of suply lines, or something like supply lines working with culture. That force fleets to only jump at max of 2-4 jumps of planet that you hold. So that force a more strategic, and i think beliable, kind of play. At the current state above small maps the game is unplayable because botleneck... Sins have a problem with scale. It simply don't scall well. In Small maps all is fine and working as intended. And the game rocks. The problem is when you make to jump to greater galaxys/maps. In medium to large maps you need a fleet in every star "or wormhole" and if it's relative big, more than 6 planets/asteroids/nebulas you probably will need more than 2. I miss alot the customitzation. In any game if it last enought every player will have all the techs. And all TEC players will have the same techs and same for other races... I have no way that if i'm in love with fighters develop this in further ways, with his drawbacks, or if i want to enforce a industrialist empire over a trade empire. All this strategy are fine, but anyone have tried playing or larger maps? In medium to large maps with >4 star systems and >2 opponents it's really crazy. Hangars and turrets don't do anything against a decent fleet >2 capital ships and task force. This means that usually you are always being attacked with 2-3 big fleets from diferent players and about 4-6 siege frigates armys. I have to agree that the mouse and cat mini game is pretty anyoning. In my firsts games at small galaxys it not bothered me too much. But now at medium maps, and at the moment my max star system is only 5 stars. It has become a nightmare Also there is no way to fortify a planet, turrets are a joke and bombers are a bit better but nothing serius agains a small fleet... That it worsens the cat mouse issue...
