I thought phase missiles and armor were the only things that would improve for the Vasari fighter/bombers. Which always annoyed me, because you can only get the 20% damage bonus on phase missiles, and it takes a lot of pre-reqs to get there. I've had games as Advent where I'm frustrated beyond belief that the enemy's phase missiles seem to be acing my hull, but even when I missile swarm as Vassari I rarely notice a huge boon to the phasic missiles. If fighters use wave, that would make me ver

Is there any way to see how much damage your fighers/ bombers are good for? Part of my ambiguity on squadrons is not knowing how useful they are.
I played an advent game against Vassari. The enemy having extreme mobilization was a hinderance, but not so much as the fact that my shields were totally worthless. I'd had 2000 shields yet no hull. Given that Advent specialize in shields, the Vassari's ability to ignore shields seems amazingly overpowered. I loved Advent but I have given up on them for this reason. I now play TEC and Vassari.
the driver has been restarted thing is key to this bug. if you're not getting a bunch of taskbar popups after you quit, ITS A DIFFERENT ISSUE (reduce your settings, you're probably just pushign your system too far).
I'm very disappointed with the planetary military units. I would've liked a larger range of turrets, the one you start with seems fairly ineffectual, the the upgrades are negligible. As it is, I've nearly given up on planetary defenses and switched to maintaining a couple fleets for defense, but its gets pretty hard to manage when you're getting pirate and AI rushed at the same time. Other than my total inability to maintain a consistent defense I'm enjoying the game quite a lot.
I'm running on a dual core with a 7950GT nvidia card, using the latest 169 driver available. I have 2GB ram. The system has dual monitors and is runnign Vista 64. The game constantly freezes up on me. The screen freezes, music keeps going, and then my monitor looses connection to the video card and restores itself almost immediately. After I exit out of the game, I see a long stream of error in the system tray telling me " nvidia display driver nvlddmkm.sys has stopped res
