Soase is an incredible game as it has incorporated so many great concepts from other games into one excellent package. Is there any advantage to using one of your planets as a 'trade' planet and building multiple ports around it? I don't have the manual with me as I type this post but I think I remember it merely stating that building a trade port opens up new lanes of trade for increased income (as well as a bonus applied to all connected planets which have a trade port). If you build more than one trade port on a planet does that increase the percentage of trade income the planet contributes to the total?
I have only been playing the game a couple of days and have only played as the Advent, but my understanding is that the number of labs you maintain only relates to the techs that require a greater number of labs to initiate research. I have found, in playing the Advent, that they have an early tech you can research which decreases the amount of time needed to research all other techs. I'm not sure if the other factions have anything similar or if this is a faction related bonus for the Advent.
