the fix to aux gov was long due. Thanks for that. And the last thing about memory optimizations looks yummy.

[quote who="Astax" reply="19" id="2099575"] Quoting Szadowsz, reply 17 A fully upgraded vasari sb (all weapon, all armour and one level of debris feild) can cripple and absolutely total huge fleets, In the current game im playing against hard ai i have one starbase that constantly kills off two enemy fleets combined That's because AI is not too smart. I can kill a fully upgraded Vasari starbase using 40 bombers and take no losses
I just had a game vs AI I turtled in for all 16 caps. I farmed XP until everything was level 6 or higher, I went out with 2 marzas, 9 Kols and 5 Dunovs. Then I took them out to look for a good fight. I found a nice fully upgraded advent starbase. I attacked and found out you can destroy those really fast with the machine gun guass cannons from 9 Kols at once. Fully teched out, you can park them all under a starbase with docking booms + finest hour, you will have a +9.5 antimatte
martyrdom can target starbases, tec scout timed bombs can't
The Kol is just damned tough. It has Finest hour which will restore its Antimatter, and you need a dunov to cast its lvl 6 to reduce antimatter costs by 300% less, then turn autocast on and pummel the enemy with repeated gauss cannon shots.
The Advent have an awesome late game economy. They get a starbase upgrade that increases max allegiance by +30% for its planet and a research that gives you plus 10% across the board. So with the plus 10 from culture, your lowest planets will have 25 base+10culture+10research+30starbase upgrade=75% allegiance minimum. Your homeworld could have 150% allegiance. You aren't losing as much taxes from your distant colonies and your home worlds are producing more than 100% of their share
Laying mines inside an enemy fleet is a waste of resources, they won't explode until 30 seconds, and don't become invulnerable for 30 seconds. That means the enemy ships will blow up your mines as soon as they are deployed, even without any scouts to reveal them.
Warp in your own fleet filled with nothing but fighters and flaks assuming equal fleet supply.
I played an online game. My first real multiplayer experience in Entrenchment last night. It was a 2v2. I had to fight against my guy and my ally fought against his. It was practically two 1v1s in the same solar system. Anyway I learned that Starbases are good places to hide, because no human player will suicide his fleet to chase your damaged caps. A human player will ignore a heavily defended planet alltogether and just jump deeper into your empire to attack the soft
To play devil's advocate here a bit. The whole point of Impulse was to be DRM free with no online activation. That once you downloaded the game you can copy it to whatever system you want without activation hassles. Thats how the original Sins was. If its changed, its just closer to Steam now.
If you have a bunch of capital ships, the higher level the better, they will repel away enemy culture. Just make sure you clear away all of the broadcast structures and park your caps there until its colonizable.
Also Stars have a 500 space mine limit instead of 150 for planets. Too bad for TEC.
The income is on a seperate ticker in the credit income breakdown. Tax Income Trade Income Starbase Income
BTW, if you lose all of your planets, and thus your research labs, your ships are going to be weaker without the armor and Hull and weapon upgrades.
I thought it made the fleet jump interference immune.
Slowing down a incoming phase jump really doesn't add any tactical usefulness. While delaying retreating ships b uys you that extra time can be used to to dish out more damage on them. I think Phase stabilizers could have a function where once 2 of them connect together, it becomes a permanent new phase line. If you have 2 phase stabilizers at each end of a phase lane, you also get the option to permanently destabilize it(unless you creatre it) But all ships would be able
There was a game for Nintendo Gamecube called Geist. It has a surprise and a disapointment one after the other. The theme of the game was that you played as a ghost and you can frighten people and when they because scared enough, you can possess them and control their body and get control of their actions. A lot of the early game was genious. theres a scene with showering women, and you can control the mirror to make her appear to age really fast to freak her out, then rattle the locker
I recently saw the trailer for the SPORE galactic adventures or whatever its called. More of the same, I am not wasting any more time or money on this series. The only parts of SPORE I enjoyed are the cell stage, and then the initial awe as you start the galactic stage. But it turned to disapointment as you figure out everything is the same everywhere you go. Just another randomly procedural generated world with random animals on it. They should have made the Galactic stage into 2 par
Too many Terminator movies and TV series all involving time traveling and such, This whole series is fucked canon wise. I am a huge fan of it all, but I can't make sense out of whats going on, I'm here for the explosions and bad ass robots.
This does seem like a good way to beat a Advent Turtle. Just stay far away from the Starbase, turret death trap and build your own starbase on the other side of the gravity well. Lets see how well the advent fares against a Vasari Beast with frontal shields and vortex
I've played Space Empires V. The thing I really like is how un-ending the tech tree is. you can just keep on researching something forever almost. I built a ring world and a sphere world and colonized them. Its fun in a Sim City way. I found the AI to not be clever enough to be any fun though. Its good at the start of a game, but once you've got all of these massive toys to create and destroy entire stars and planets, or create black holes. The AI can't keep up. The cool thing is
Basically if you kill enemy units that have bounty attached to them, you gain some money for the kill. and that money is deducted from the total bounty amount. If their bounty is going down really fast, They are losing a lot of ships real fast.
Kol, just ONE Kol!
Try this one. Cluster 4 Advent starbases really close together at a star. and upgrade only their armor to level 3 and give them the meteor and mass disorientation at level 1 each, pick whatever else you want. Anything that gets close will be bombarded by 4 meteors before they ever get into range to shoot back, and before that, they get stuck from the disorientation for a long time. I guess if you really wanted, you could put the weapons upgrades, but I didn't see a reason to, I spent th
i know that designate target can't target a starbase, at least the stationary ones. If you are Vasari, try to get that siege capital ship, the one which has siege platforms and assault specialization. Get the assault specization to level 3 on about 4 of them and you have a ship that does better structure damage than a torpedo cruiser and has the HP to stay in the fight for a long time. And if you can, try to hit the planet with a Kosturas cannon, that should even the od
