I highly agree. As excellent as the rest of the game is, the current diplomacy system is pretty lame.... It basically forces one to grovel at the feet of any faction one wishes to ally with. There's no sense of mutual friendship or simple neutrality; it's either "You do this, or we hate you." And at times it can be very tough to get an alliance (or even peace) with a faction simply because the missions they offer are extremely hard (or impossible) to complete. Probably nothing frustra
