Bring back the Dark Armada fleet is a Vasari special ability controlled by the Phase Portal thing. It is very high on the research tree though.

Yes I am sure. I do it all the time to move my flagship (usually a Vasari Carrier) into range of other ships that I want to heal.
Hi, I enjoyed the guide, but I noticed one error. Fleet leaders can actually be individually selected after all. Instead of clicking the fleet icon floating on top of them just click the ship itself. Thanks, and nice job.
Hal, what drivers are you using?
Awsome...Thank you!!
So in the Vasari tech tree there is this upgrade that increases your fleet capacity by %20. My question is that once you reach max fleet research will this take you over another %20, or is it just applicable up until 2000 capacity? Thank you.
Yea the battles are so epic. My imagination runs wild while I am playing this game.
Thank you!! I am glad someone came along. I am going to write another one with better screen shots. Is there a way to remove the UI completely? I knwo I could probably search for it, but I am at work, and also I am lazy:)
Hellfire, just use trial and error methods until you find the balance that allows for a balance between playability and eye-candy.
Hey this took me 30 minutes to make!!! BUMP!!
When analyzing the graphics in this game one must also consider the scope in which they are seen. Hundreds of awsome looking ships with wild weapon effects in a huge battle is just awsome!! I run everything at highest with 2 AA and the ships shimmer in the sunlight/laserlight. Very nice graphics.
The Vasari heavy cruisers use alot of pulse weapons that get the count up rather fast, but at 99999 it shouldn't matter. I agree is takes away from the experience a little bit, even more than a low framerate does.
I am addicted to carrier caps. My last fleet had 6 carrier caps with 4 other randoms and 50 heavey cruisers and about 100 frigates and suport ships. I took out 350 pirates in their own system in 2 minutes. Carriers with bombers are just so majestci when they reach level 10, they are true flagships. By the way, I play only Vasari so far.
Sorry I messed up on the uplaod a little bit. To see the full image size copy and paste the image URL into your browser.
After the victorious battle of Sector 9, the Dark Fleet, having ravaged the last remaining pirate stronghold in the system, set course for the homeworld, Karaika. This marked the end of The Exodus, and the begining of The Long Peace. Upon returning to Karaika the Dark Fleet was stood down, as it has been now for over 10000 years. Thank you, I revealed the file and it's all good now.
I am well aware that I had to replace username with my account, but it is not there. What is the exact name of the config file, so I can search it directly? I am not new to this sort of thing, but so far no luck, thank you.
I have searched for: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire But it does not exist on my computer. I am using XP, and I have the downloaded version. Any idea where the config file might be, I need to change the particle count. Thank you.
Well the 945 is a direct x 9 chip so as long as it has enough video ram (128mb) as stated in the minumun requirements it should run. This game runs well on a variety of machines.
I was playing a game earlier tonight and was involved in a large battle, but the weapon fire at close range was not all showing up. I have my effects at max, and hi resolution on, and I can hear tons of weapon fire, but not see it all.
I don't mean to censor anyone of course. I mean just don't have it on your front page, being a part of the first imptression some people may get of the game. If it is ok with you guys then it doesn't matter though.
Maybe they regain hull points in the bay of ships. And for the planetary guys, myabe they just need to be near the spacebay to regain. Not really sure though.
Make sure you turn on bloom and all effects to highest in the effects menu as well. And also you might try playing without AA to see if that might be causing any graphical problems.
Has anyone from Ironclad/Stardock read this yet?
