Oh no. Oh please, no no no. The moment that you begin sorting ships and factions into awesome or suck then devising "100% UNBEATABLE STRATEGY!"s is the moment that fun dies and the game turns into a clicking exercise circlejerk by people who laugh at anyone who tries anything that varies just a little bit while they crush them with the iron boot of the status quo uber strategy.

Honestly, this game reminds me more of the book/anime series Legend of the Galactic Heroes. There we're dealing with 2 huge "empires" battling through space with fleets of thousands of ships, the fleets of which are actually quite similar to Sins'. A variety of Battleships sparsely spread throughout, primarily as flagships, carriers that carry fighters into battle, and massive amounts of smaller, frigate/cruiser class vessels. The two factions, The Galactic Empire (Prussian inspired) and the Fre

I would love to have Space Stations in the game. In particular, Space Stations that can go in a Wormhole's gravity well. Currently a Wormhole is a big fat gaping hole in any defense, and there are only a few ways to deal with it: Stick a big fat frontline fleet there, all alone with no support despite being surrounded by friendly planets, fortify the surrounding planets and divide your fleet, hoping to "close the trap" and bring your ships in behind them in time when the enemy attacks, or go thr

I've been having the same problem. I was running a 1vs1, spent tons of time building up a fleet while fighting off incessant raids (They had a wormhole that came right into the middle of my empire, which complicated things immensely)then rode forth with my glorious TEC fleet to vanquish the freakish horde and... I ended up playing interplanetary grabass for a good 2 hours. The only way I could take them out was by rounding up a small group of Kols and Kodiaks then attacking suicide style, which

I think that a much better solution (and I think it was mentioned a while earlier, but this thread is growing unwieldy) would be to allow Flak frigates and Fighters to intercept and shoot down the slow moving nukes. This would give fighters a more useful role and give the flak frigates a use outside of killing bombers then sitting around trying not to get killed. It's both somewhat realistic and gives a good limit to the siege frigs power, while not nerfing them. It would also force you to actua
