Good to know! Thanks.

My gripe with siege frigates isn't that they are so powerful but the fact that the ai exploits it ALWAYS. Every single time the ai attacks one of my planets there are at least 4 siege frigates that go straight for the planet and start bombarding it. I think an easy way to fix this would be to boost the power of planetary defences. The way it is now I don't even bother building turrets and hangars because they are just a minor annoyance to attacking fleets. Even if you build overlapping
Thanks for the replies. I don't want to mod the files to make research faster because I think that would imbalance the factions especially is the Advent have something in their tech tree to increase research speed. A queue order would be great. As it is there is no way of knowing what order things are going to be researched unless you remember what order you queued them. I guess you could write i it down... This is just one of the many things that should be added to this good game to make it
Last night I played my first real game (I actually felt like I knew what I was doing). I noticed that once I started to expand and started to really get my economy going that when I researched several things at once there is a queue and research only completes one at a time. Is there a way to speed up the research other than changing the setting at the beginning of the game? I generally like the pace as it is. Is there something you can research to make researching happen faster?
There are dark skyboxes. You can turn off the lighter ones in the Options (Effects section I think).
I saw that option but wasnt sure exactly what it meant. So the skybox is the background? In the options both the dark and light skyboxes are checked. I unchecked the light one and nothing happend. Do I have to start a new map for it to take effect?
Are there any fansites yet? I'm looking for stats on ships, details on each faction and a research tree would be awesome.
Why not just order it direct to drive from this site? I usually hate direct to drive but I'm impatient and didn't want to wait until tuesday to buy it in stores. I have to say that Stardock really have their sh!t together. I was playing with 45 mins of purchasing the game.
Every map I've played on so far is lit up by some distant star. I guess you could compare it to Bespin in Star Wars. I also tried to make a custom map of a dark galaxy with no luck. Are there any galaxies that are dark like space is supposed to be? What factors make the Galaxies I've seen so far light?
4. I think once IGN rates this game, its over... We will all move on... Sigh...
I lol'ed.
I don't see a capture command on my colony frigates. I tried just right clicking the astroid with the colony frigate and that didn't work either. Does the capture command have to be researched?
