I had the same problem. I googled for that file and found it pretty easy. Dumped it into the game directory and it started right up.

If you rotate your camera juuuuust right, you can make it so the enemy home planet is down. I'm not saying this is a masterful strategy, I'm just saying it helps.

So it occurred to me while I was playing last night, and I thought I should clear it up. You guys over at StarDock and Ironclad don't employ anyone named "Mazer" right? I'm not going to encounter any surprises when I finsih a game, like finding out that I was controlling the real life fleet the entire time?
