1-2 pm? WTF? I wanted to play before work today :( Figures, no love for us second shifters. Everything is about first shift... sigh*
Just so people are aware, you have to remove every map that wasn't modified on the day you updated the patch. So on the discription of the file most of my maps were modified on 2/19/09, but there were a few that were not modified on that day. I had to remove all maps I made plus the old non-pirate maps that were added before there was the "no pirate option" under "game options".
is there a quick key for that? or do you have to go through the menu options each time to change it.
Culture is broken as it is now. Its impossible to spread culture to a planet that has even one low level capital ship.
you're thinking offensive, i'm thinkin defensive.
Okay, so allow all starbases to move, vasari's can jump, but only allow them to jump where their culture is present.
I build 3 turrets for every 1 repair bay. I circle them as close to the planet as possible and place my logistic within their defensive range. I do not build hangars at all. If they had more squads I would but they are just not worth it. I find asteriods to be the easiest to defend since everything is within a really close proximity to each other, so if you attack one turret, all my turrets are within range.
He is probably using ddr2 667 ot ddr2 800 memory which is dirt cheap now a days. Upgrading to 2 gigs makes a lot of sense actually(maybe not 3 but meh). But honestly, memory is probably not the issue. I would suggest upgrading all drivers and what not to see what happens. I would also suggest cleaning out your case of all dust, especially on the fans, to prevent over heating and under clocking. If all else fails... christmas is coming.
i knew i hated the advent for a reason. cheating commie bastards!
Didn't completely read thread but honestly... Allow for full refund on games when returned in the first week or two. CDkeys are infinite anyway and if the person really wanted one, to buy and return, it's not hard to find a key generator on the net so it's not worth the effort. Plus the fact that, how hard is it for distributors and retail stores to keep intouch to "ban" returned game keys from use? Which leads into: Require the EULA signed at store. If I had purchased
kryo,Exactly it. These days everyone wants anything and everything with no effort expended. I'm surprised people haven't complained to the chipmakers about making chips that'll do what they want just by "thinking" about it. ...and so the world turns.
I've read alot of your posts on this forum, they are all worthless like this one. - a more constructive post to come later after work... ta ta
TO : Those who experience minidumps.Minidumps are not a type of primary causal problem with the game programme : they are secondary effects of a programme crash that can have been caused by a variety of problems (within the game code itself, or from the user's computer).Minidumps do not cause crashes : they contain information to help the developers to find the real causes of crashes. If you did not have minidumps, you still would have the crashes, but then, the developers would lack info
Having all your allies in the same system limits the planets you can have in that starting system, which is important for advancing into the next. It would be a waste to share them with allies... O.o
haha! you wasted money on ddr3. yay!
Rule of thumb: If developers want to give an ETA then they'll give an ETA. If they haven't given one it's because they don't want to, and asking won't change that.
Wow... you are SOOO smart! YAY! Thank you for sharing that rule with us.
Most I've ever done is 1 vs 9 with 5 hards, 2 mediums, and 2 unfair. I didn't even notice the difference(challenging wise)when I play 4 mediums. The only difference is it took 13 hours(not straight ofcourse). Most of my games only run for 4-6 hours. As long as you take your time and don't try to rush the ai, unless to snag a MUST HAVE choke point, you do alright.
ADD is under-diagnosed. This is why we have this problem.
With vasari, it's resources before fleet. Your ships, in the begining are really strong comparetively that you don't need a lot of ships(8+1 cap). If you can hold off maximizing fleet, past the first or second research level, for the first hour of the game you will win. STOCK pile. Draw attention to other players. Being adaptive verse offensive with the vasari works out better than offensive. Leave offensive to players that have cheaper ships(advent).
I have seen the same thing, but it was also in previous versions. I don't think you are collection the added resources from it when it says 4/3 but it wouldn't be hard to do the math if you really wanna know.
^^you should have got a screen shot. i've never seen it, would be sweet.
Focus on economy research, with any player, at the start. Money and resources are the IT in game. Meh, here is how I start as vasari WITHOUT RA (which I NEVER use). -First thing, before anything is to build your capital ship factory. -Next is you build your crystal extractor and two metal extactors in that order. -Build your first imperial lab closest to your last extractor built (for time saving). -By this time, que your first capital ( I recomend the carrier). -Then b
