Ya, I turned off defender, and don't even have OneCare, and still, nothing. I look forward to hearing if getting the school to open the port on their routers helps. I'll do the same on Monday. Got a buddy in campus IT, so hopefully he might figure something out if it is, in fact, the school blocking it. Appreciate the suggestions.

As stated, we opened up the ports. In fact, 6112 was already opened due to our using it for other games. We do not control the router, since we are on a campus router, but we have never had a problem like this before. I know from reading the forum, we are not the only ones with this problem, but the request I sent in to technical support 2 days ago has yet to see a response. 6112 is definitely not it, and 6000 is at least opened on our computers, and I cannot imagine why it would be blocked on

My friend and I have the exact same problem. We followed all available directions, enabling ports, etc., even going so far as to turn off our firewalls. I use wireless and a hard copy of the game, he uses a cable and a downloaded copy. We have played plenty of other games together online with no problem. So it is definitely not our connection, or our computers, or something to do with our copies of the game. However, we bought this game for the purpose of multiplayer. Any help would be hugel
