Haha. Yea lets blow up the universe! Life sucks anyways, we'll be doing the universe a favor!

The rail gun does cause recoil, in fact even worse then standard guns, the magnetic force forces the two rails in the gun (that conduct electricity) in opposite directions, in space that could cause the ship to begin spinning at the same speed the progectile is fired from the ship. which would make it highly ineffective as a weapon, until prouper gravity and anti gravity technology is invented, if ever. Basicly you would need either beam weapons (which are rather complicated to make useful
I'm not a physesist, but i do think that involves recoil, as you are in a sence propelling somthing fowards. which, in space, would send you flying backwards. They are quite impressive though, i agree. But i could be wrong, we just have to wait 1000 years or so and see what kind of stuff we start putting on our ships. lol. unless we reincarnate to another planet, in another galaxy.

My turn to post, yippy. On polotics, humanities first mistake was inventing money, it is now a part of our very exsistence. kind of ironic how we have become dependent on somthing that, really doesn't exsist, its just somthing we made up in order to make trade easier. Now it has become the very core of our culture. I am willing to bet, that this will not change, in the near or distant future. Eventualy we may reach a level at which we can practice perfect comunism (as all previous
Yea, usualy, you have to give them huge cash bonuses, faster tec development and building times and the whole lot more for them to be any challenge at all to a good player. :P Insane on Starcraft was pretty tough though...
Well i think its based on the weapon types. the flak is the Tec anti fighter craft. The Vasari antifighter uses torpedo's and i don't remember what the Advent anti fighter uses, but they are supposedly good as support craft in general.
I hate paralysis. It is evil. I hate dark armada, it is evil. :P I am a tec fan! and they get the money, not just the firepower. It's one of their primary features.
I don't feel like reading all the posts, but as for campaigns, i was under the inpression they had origionaly wanted to have a campaing in the origional release, but eventualy decided that the game worked well as a sandbox style game, so why not give people the game, and let them play insted of makeing them wait for somthing that isn't necessarily worth waiting for? You can tell from the intro that the team behind it has a story, and they want to tell it to us. So a campain will come, and I'm s
Quite a few idea's poping up, i have no idea if you guys will read them all. Oh well here goes. The points you've mentioned are (as quite a few have mentioned) likely the key points that should be looked at. A few Quick AI fixes would help. They do a couple of "stupid" things to say the least, like retreateing when they have the upper hand, and Spamming light frigates or seige frigates an hour into the game, when you can easily block them with more varried and advanced fleets.<
[quote] When you just say "colony cruiser", none of the cruisers are available when you start so it's plain to see how I could have misunderstood. I don't see where your coming from -- hence the WTF. Think of it this way: just as you automatically took my statement one way, not even seeing the other way, I automatically saw it that other way, never seeing the way you see it... not even now, I'm blind that way.
