Just thought i would mention that I too am having this problem. I'm currently patched to 1.11.036 and I get the same message. My brother patched to 1.12.042 fine on XP so maybe its a Vista problem with me? Would be 'nice' for Stardock gave us access to the patch.exe so i can simply do it manually instead of via this annoying Impulse manager!
