so anyone have an idea on how to get space ponys? i know its a refrence to a old beta thread about a third faction...
Fourth. You just find them while exploring planets, just like artifacts or other random goodies.
Wind Sage
...oh. >_>
What exactly do you guys mean when you say a "max of 50% culture"? Where does it display this figure? When you quit or a game ends you can select one of the categories on the left (I'm not sure which... Planet or Empire maybe?) and then choose something like total culture, which shows the breakdown of culture spread throughout the galaxy.
Oh. Didn't think of that. XD
I'm also wondering about the Pop Idol bug since my games do the same thing... a max of 50% culture.
What exactly do you guys mean when you say a "max of 50% culture"? Where does it display this figure?
while on the topic of achievements i would like to go slightly off topic. Does completing any of the achievements give you any bonuses other then the bragging rights to to post screen shots showing you found space ponies?
Nope. Thou
Well, when set on a team with someone, I don't exactly think of them as opposition. It does make sense when the teams are unlocked, however. ...come to think of it, why can't we put bounty on allies? That doesn't seem quite fair.
Well, I know you can make ceasefires/peace treaties and still get the achievement. I don't know what happens if you're at peace with someone when you win, though. Can you even do that?
As long as you're not on a team with any AIs when you start the game, you should get the achievement when you win. ...I think.
Myself, I occasionally have times where nothing fired actually appears -- the sound effects for firing are still there, and damage is dealt, but no projectiles go flyin' 'round. Sort of amusing, but also sort of irritating. Sadly, I have no idea why.
Bluh? I've done fine against unlocked Hards, even on huge maps. They never team up against me. :D
Damn, but this discussion is long. What are you guys arguing about now?
Oh, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but a Tactical Slots button under Search to go along with the Logistics Slots one would be handy.
Also, out of excessive laziness to create another topic and a desire to throw these out there: A) TEC Refinery Ships and Trade Ships, when upgraded with Civilian Safety Act, have two armor entries in their tooltip. This is really weird. B) When you have too many squadrons (more than can fit on screen?) in all the units selected, the tooltip for the Squadron Management button explodes. Well, not literally, but it does mess up. C) There's a typo in the TEC's Immen
From another topic I made: I played a single-player game when I first started up the game, a simple 1v1 versus an AI on a single-star map. I won. Yay! Then I looked at my achievements, and discovered I had Star Explorer -- without every playing on a map with more than one star. Eh wot? Seems buggeh to meh.
Rad. Thanks.
It wants a CD-Key. I don't have one; I bought the game over the wobs. Thus, how do I create an account?
Since I seem to be unable to edit my post (weird, that): - Larger size distinctions between ships. Currently ships just aren't big enough to give that "HOLY CRAP THAT'S A BIG SHIP" feeling from Homeworld. Probably impractical in the relevant timeframe, though. - IMO, currently ships are obscenely tough; this is only compounded by how easy it is to flee and the multitude of things that increase durability (I'm looking at you, Guardians). Higher overall damage or lower overall health would be
- Better AI players in some way; right now even the hard AIs are not even close to a match for a human player. - Please, yes, make the PJIs not suck. Them sucking also makes the scout-ship-ignore-them research suck, which seems cool otherwise. - Have AI relations reset to hostile with no agreements when the AI dies, so I don't end up having a peace treaty with a dead AI which prevents me from attacking their stuff until 90 seconds after I notice. Or better yet, just have all their stuff
I thought I posted something before, but it doesn't seem to exist, so I'mma keep this short out of laziness. A) Star Explorer seems to be buggy, I've complained about that before though so whatever. B) Pop Idol also seems buggy, as I've covered an entire galaxy in my culture and not gotten it. Weird. C) Does the description of Archaeologist mean you have to own all the artifacts in the galaxy, or do you have to own at least one of each of the nine artifacts at once to get it
Not necessarily requesting an immediate fix or anything, as these aren't big issues (and I'm not sure in any case whether you're already aware of them), just thought I'd point them out. 1. I played a single-player game when I first started up the game, a simple 1v1 versus an AI on a single-star map. I won. Yay! Then I looked at my achievements, and discovered I had Star Explorer -- without every playing on a map with more than one star. Eh wot? 2. The AI has no notion of teams.
